Soo Guest House Overview
You know what really surprised me about Soo Guest House? It’s one of those places that completely defies your expectations based on the name alone. I mean, when you hear “guest house,” you’re probably thinking basic rooms and shared bathrooms, right? Well, this 3-star gem actually delivers way more than you’d anticipate – and that 9.4 rating isn’t just inflated reviews from people’s relatives.
The thing that struck me first was how genuinely welcoming the whole place feels. It’s got that sweet spot vibe where it’s professional enough that you feel taken care of, but personal enough that the staff actually remembers your name after day one. The rooms are honestly quite comfortable – not luxury by any means, but everything works properly (you’d be amazed how rare that is sometimes), and there’s this attention to cleanliness that you notice right away. The beds are actually decent quality, which I always worry about at smaller places. I’m a bit of a light sleeper, and I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet things stayed, even with other guests moving around.
What really sets this place apart though is the genuine hospitality. The owners – or maybe they’re managers, I’m not entirely sure – but they clearly care about making sure people have a good experience. They’re the type who’ll give you honest recommendations about where to eat nearby, not just hand you a generic tourist brochure. I picked up some great local insights just from casual conversations in the lobby area. The check-in process was smooth, none of that bureaucratic nonsense where you’re filling out forms for twenty minutes. And honestly, for what you’re paying compared to some of the bigger chain options, the value is pretty incredible. It’s not going to have a fancy spa or room service, but if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable base where people actually give a damn about your stay, this hits all the right notes. Sometimes the best travel experiences come from places that just focus on doing the fundamentals really well instead of trying to be everything to everyone.
Exploring Seoul offers visitors an unforgettable journey through South Korea’s dynamic capital, from its historic Joseon palaces to its futuristic districts and world-renowned Korean entertainment culture.

Momo and Kookoo are so welcoming and kind hosts! I had such a comfortable stay thanks to them! The room was so clean and tidy and they provided everything I needed for my stay. Momo even gave me a special present before I left. They really are the sweetest! I will definitely book with them again next time I’m back in Seoul. I highly recommend them ☺️
Katarzyna from Poland (8/10)
Nice place in good area of Seul (attractions, restaurants, convenience store on the corner). Small, clean room for sure fine for short stay, longer it might be difficult for me and my daughter because suitcases took the whole space 🫣 Simple breakfast in the price. Nice owner who helped us to book taxi to airport and bring all suitcases to the car. Very important is that this area is with steps and hills, to get to the guest house you need to also took the stairs, it was not easy with the big suitcase. But for us it was only stop before back to home after long trip in Korea so I known what to expect.

Dian from Australia (10/10)
Very clean, easy to find, Momo & Kookoo such a good helper also to explain about everything.
The area also close by to the road, nice restaurants & cafe, and very close to Namsan Tower too.Christina from Greece (10/10)
The guesthouse is in a very central area of Myeongdong, surrounded by restaurants, coffee shops, and close to subway and bus stops. The room was very clean and cozy. Breakfast included eggs, milk, cereal, and more.
Momo and her sister were incredibly helpful, and they even gave us gifts when we left! I definitely recommend staying here, and I'll certainly come back again when when I visit Seoul.
