About this stay

Your Seoul Retreat

You know what really surprised me about Luxury hanok with private bathtub – SW06? The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense of calm that honestly catches you off guard – especially if you’re coming from the usual hotel scene. I mean, we’re talking about a traditional Korean hanok here, and they’ve managed to preserve all that authentic architectural charm while sneaking in some seriously luxurious touches that don’t feel forced or touristy.

The private bathtub situation is absolutely worth the hype, and I’m usually pretty skeptical about these kinds of selling points. It’s positioned perfectly so you can actually see out into the courtyard while you soak, which sounds cheesy but actually creates this zen-like experience that I found myself looking forward to each evening. The floors have that classic ondol heating system, so your feet stay warm even during colder months – a detail that matters way more than you’d think until you experience it. What really impressed me was how they’ve maintained the hanok’s original wooden beams and traditional paper doors while incorporating modern amenities that actually work (the wifi is solid, the heating responds quickly, and the bathroom fixtures are top-notch without being flashy).

The space itself feels more intimate than your typical hotel room, but in the best possible way. You’re getting that authentic Korean residential experience without sacrificing comfort, and honestly, the 9.6 rating makes complete sense once you spend a night there. The courtyard garden is meticulously maintained – I found myself having my morning coffee out there most days, just watching how the light changes throughout the space. One thing to note: if you’re someone who needs complete silence to sleep, the traditional construction means you might hear subtle sounds from other parts of the building, but it’s more ambient than disruptive. The check-in process was refreshingly personal too – they really take time to explain the features and local recommendations rather than just handing you a key card. For the price point and the experience you’re getting, especially if you’re interested in Korean culture beyond the usual tourist spots, this place delivers something genuinely special that you won’t find in standard accommodations.

The location was great and I like the small town feel with access to the city and landmarks right around the corner

The hanok stay was very esthetically pleasing and the space was great for one person - also very clean. The best part was the location: great neighborhood with so much to do and eat but also quiet when it was time to sleep. And the owner at the café next door was very helpful and hospitable!

Velmi milý kontakt s majitelem. Zaŕídil nám i TAXI do další destinace. Domeček je úplně jako sen. Krásná čtvrť a vše v dosahu. Je skvělé poznávat místní kulturu i typickým hanokem. K dispozici bylo vše. Děkujeme i za milý dárek na přivítanou.
