Gangnam Artnouveau City
Your Seoul Retreat
You know what caught me off guard about Gangnam Artnouveau City? I was expecting another cookie-cutter business hotel, but this place actually has some character to it. The Art Nouveau theme isn’t just slapped on as an afterthought – they’ve woven it into the design in ways that feel thoughtful rather than gimmicky. The lobby has these gorgeous curved lines and warm lighting that immediately sets it apart from the sterile glass boxes you usually find in this part of town.
Honestly, the location is pretty solid if you’re planning to explore the whole Gangnam district properly. I mean, you’re right in the thick of things without being on one of those impossibly busy main drags where you can’t sleep past 6 AM because of delivery trucks. The staff seemed genuinely helpful when I needed directions to some of the lesser-known spots – not just the obvious tourist traps everyone mentions. What I really appreciated was how quiet my room was considering we’re talking about one of the busiest areas in Seoul. The soundproofing must be decent because I barely heard any street noise, which is honestly impressive given the neighborhood’s energy level.
The rooms themselves are well, pretty comfortable for a 4-star spot. Nothing that’ll blow your mind, but everything works like it should and the beds are actually good – firm enough that you won’t wake up feeling like you slept on a marshmallow. I’d say the size is reasonable by local standards, though if you’re used to sprawling American hotel rooms, you might feel a bit cozy. The little touches matter here though – decent water pressure in the shower, blackout curtains that actually block light, and outlets positioned where you can actually use them while charging your phone. Check-in was smooth, no weird hiccups or surprise fees that sometimes pop up. The 7.5 rating feels about right to me – it’s a solid choice that delivers on what it promises without trying to be something it’s not. If you’re looking for a place that gives you easy access to all the Gangnam action while still feeling like you can retreat somewhere with a bit of personality at the end of the day, this one’s worth considering.
To book hotel in Seoul during the vibrant cherry blossom season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts K-culture enthusiasts and modern travelers from around the world.

The room is well equipped and comfortable!!!!!!
the hotel is in a very nice building and its position is very closed to many facilities.
Breakfast was good, and option to choose
Breakfast was good and option to choose
large space, convenient location
The location of the hotel is exceptional, 5 min from Gangnam station and bunch of buses that will bring you literally anywhere within 30 minutes.
We loved the size of the room, very spacious, kitchen is 10 out of 10 for traveler, at least you can have your leftovers in the fridge and drink tea/coffee, we even had rice cooker! Housekeeping renew water bottles no matter what, very nice!
There are bunch of restaurants and shopping around, convenience store on the first floor in the same building.
Big room with a lot of options. Kitchen is verry good!
When I checked in, the room we got was right next to the elevator and we kept hearing men swearing outside our door.
So I asked the reception if we could get a quieter room and they kindly swapped us to a corner room.
It was much more quiet and we were able to get a good night sleep.
The buffet breakfast is my absolute favourite!
They have an AMAZING selection - cold dishes, hot food, western food, and coffee, they even have a milk frother, so I was able to make a latte. Superb.
Also, the location is fabulous in Gangnam.
I'd definitely come back just for the food alone, haha!
