Migliore Hotel Seoul Myeongdong
Your Seoul Retreat
You know what struck me first about Migliore Hotel Seoul Myeongdong? It’s this solid, no-nonsense kind of place that doesn’t try too hard to impress you – and honestly, that worked in its favor. I mean, sure, it’s got that typical Korean efficiency thing going on, but there’s something refreshingly straightforward about the whole operation. The lobby’s got this clean, modern vibe without being sterile, and the staff actually seemed to know what they were doing instead of just going through the motions.
The location is really where this place shines though. Being right in the heart of Myeongdong means you’re literally steps away from some of the best street food in Seoul – I’m talking about those little stalls that start firing up around 6 PM and suddenly the whole area smells like hotteok and tteokbokki. You can walk to Myeongdong Cathedral in about three minutes, and the subway station is close enough that you don’t have to drag your luggage very far (trust me, this matters more than you think). What I really appreciated was being able to duck back to the hotel between shopping sessions – Myeongdong can get pretty overwhelming, especially on weekends when it’s packed with both tourists and locals doing their beauty product shopping.
The rooms themselves are… well, they’re fine. Nothing spectacular, but everything works properly, which isn’t always a given at this price point. The beds are actually comfortable – firmer than what most Americans are used to, but I slept well. The bathroom’s compact but functional, and the water pressure was decent. I’ll be honest, the soundproofing could be better; you can definitely hear the street noise, especially if you’re facing the main drag, but it kind of dies down after midnight. The air conditioning works well, which is crucial if you’re visiting during Seoul’s brutal summer months. One thing that caught me off guard was how efficient the housekeeping was – they had this whole system down to a science.
What really won me over was the practical stuff. Check-in was smooth even with my terrible Korean, and they had these little maps with actual useful information instead of just the tourist trap stuff. The front desk folks knew about things like which convenience store had the best coffee (it’s the GS25 around the corner, by the way) and could give you directions that didn’t involve getting lost in the subway system. There’s also this decent little restaurant on the first floor that serves a solid Korean breakfast if you’re not ready to venture out first thing in the morning.
Look, this isn’t going to be the most Instagram-worthy place you’ll ever stay, and the 6.9 rating honestly feels about right – it’s good, not great. But sometimes you just want a clean, comfortable base in a prime location without paying luxury hotel prices. If you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring the city anyway, Migliore does exactly what it needs to do. Just book a room on a higher floor if you’re sensitive to street noise, and definitely take advantage of being able to walk everywhere in Myeongdong.

Guest Reviews
If you like shopping, this is the best location. I couldn't imagine a better place in Myeongdong. I'd upgraded the room so it was beyond my expectation. Reccommend.
Location was super, the restuarant at the hotel provide super value of buffet meals.
The market below
Access to shopping areas and other attractions.
Location is the best. close to everywhere, especially Myeongdong night market is right below the hotel. It's hard to find restroom in Korea. With kids, it's pretty convenient to just go back to hotel if they are tired or need restroom. The family room is great for family with 2 kids. Subway station is right below the hotel.
Location, its 1 min walking from Megogdong center and Line3 Subway station, 10 minutes walking from Namsan CableCar.
The housekeeping staffs tidy and clean the room meticulously.
Location is so convenience, just 100 meter away from Subway. shopping in meyoung dong is good.
Location is great! No need to worry about raining. Direct connection to subway.
