Toyoko Inn Seoul Yeongdeungpo
Your Seoul Retreat
First Impressions
Walking into Toyoko Inn Seoul Yeongdeungpo, you immediately get that reassuring feeling of a well-run business hotel. It’s not trying to be flashy or pretentious — just clean, efficient, and surprisingly welcoming for a three-star property. The lobby is compact but thoughtfully designed, and honestly, the staff’s English is better than I expected. You know what struck me most? How quiet it feels inside, even though you’re right in the heart of one of Seoul’s busiest districts.
Location & Neighborhood
The location is actually brilliant if you want to experience Seoul like locals do, rather than just hitting the tourist spots. Yeongdeungpo might not be as famous as Gangnam or Myeongdong, but it’s incredibly well-connected — you can reach pretty much anywhere in the city within 30 minutes by subway. I mean, couples seem to really appreciate this area (they rate it 8.6), and I get why. There’s something authentic about wandering the nearby streets, discovering hole-in-the-wall restaurants and late-night markets that most tourists never see. Plus, you’re close enough to the Han River for evening walks, which is honestly one of Seoul’s best free activities.
The Room Experience
The rooms follow that classic Japanese business hotel model — compact but incredibly functional. Everything has its place, and the bed is surprisingly comfortable for the price point. What I really appreciated was how well-maintained everything felt; the bathroom might be small, but it’s spotless and the water pressure is excellent. The air conditioning works properly (crucial in Seoul summers), and there are enough outlets for all your devices. It’s not spacious by Western standards, but if you’ve traveled around Asia before, you’ll find it perfectly adequate.
Breakfast & Dining
The Asian buffet breakfast is where Toyoko Inn Seoul Yeongdeungpo really delivers value. It’s not extensive, but what they do offer is done well — think Korean staples like kimchi and rice, alongside some Japanese touches that reflect the hotel chain’s heritage. The coffee is decent, and there’s usually fresh fruit available. I actually found myself looking forward to breakfast each morning, which says something. The dining area gets busy around 8 AM, so if you’re an early riser, you’ll have more space and selection.
Why Guests Love It
What makes this place work is the combination of reliability and location at a fair price. You’re getting consistent quality without paying Gangnam rates, and you’re positioned perfectly to explore both traditional and modern Seoul. The staff genuinely seems to care about guest experience — small touches like helping with directions or restaurant recommendations make a difference. It’s the kind of hotel where business travelers feel comfortable but tourists don’t feel out of place either. If you want to stay somewhere that feels authentically Seoul without breaking the budget, this three-star gem delivers exactly what it promises.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Seoul at least two months ahead for major events like K-pop concerts and cultural festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near popular attractions.

Guest Reviews
Everything was great. Location, accommodation, breakfeast. But, my highest score go to the reception staff. A girl, whose name I am unable to recall, took the task of finding my lost backpack on an express train from airport to Seoul. She made her calls and gave me the right information to pick it up at Seoul metro station. It was fantastic!
