TM Stay
Your Seoul Retreat
You know what caught me off guard about TM Stay? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not – and honestly, that’s exactly what made my stay so comfortable. I mean, sure, it’s a 3-star property, but the attention to detail here feels more thoughtful than some of the flashier places I’ve stayed at.
The lobby has this really clean, modern vibe without being sterile – you walk in and there’s actually natural light streaming through these big windows, which is surprisingly rare in budget-friendly hotels. The check-in was smooth (I got there around 2 PM on a Thursday and was in my room within minutes), and the staff genuinely seemed like they wanted to help rather than just going through the motions. My room was on the fourth floor, and I’ll be honest – the elevator’s a bit slow, but the hallways are quiet, which I appreciated after dealing with paper-thin walls at my last hotel.
What really sold me on this place was the practical stuff that actually matters when you’re traveling. The Wi-Fi actually works everywhere – I tested it in the lobby, my room, even by the windows at the end of the hall where these things usually die. The bed was firm but not rock-hard, and they use these crisp white linens that feel fresh, not scratchy. The bathroom’s compact but well-designed, with decent water pressure and lighting that doesn’t make you look like you’re auditioning for a zombie movie. I stayed for three nights and housekeeping was consistent – they even remembered I preferred extra towels after I mentioned it once. There’s something to be said for a place that runs smoothly without making a big show of it. The neighborhood felt safe walking around in the evenings, and I noticed plenty of locals grabbing coffee at the little café across the street, which is usually a good sign. If you’re looking for a straightforward, well-run place where you can actually get some rest without breaking the bank, TM Stay delivers on that promise without the unnecessary frills.
