The Ambassador Seoul – A Pullman Hotel Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked into The Ambassador Seoul – A Pullman Hotel, I wasn’t expecting much. Another big chain hotel, you know? But this place actually surprised me in ways I didn’t see coming. The lobby has this interesting mix of traditional Korean elements with sleek modern design that doesn’t feel forced or touristy. There’s this subtle wood paneling that catches the light just right, and honestly, the whole space feels more sophisticated than I anticipated.
What really got me though was the location – you’re right in the thick of things in Seoul without being overwhelmed by the chaos. I mean, step outside and you’ve got Myeongdong shopping district practically at your doorstep, but somehow the hotel manages to feel like a quiet retreat once you’re inside. The rooms are genuinely spacious by Seoul standards (and trust me, that matters here), with floor-to-ceiling windows that give you proper city views. The beds are that perfect firmness that Korean hotels do so well – not too soft, not too hard. Actually, I slept better here than I have in months.
The staff really knows their stuff too, which isn’t always a given even at five-star places. They helped me figure out the subway system without making me feel like an idiot, and when I mentioned I was looking for good Korean BBQ that wasn’t just for tourists, the concierge gave me directions to this little place about ten minutes away that ended up being incredible. That kind of local knowledge makes such a difference. The hotel restaurant is solid – nothing groundbreaking, but the breakfast spread has both international options and proper Korean dishes, so you’re not stuck eating the same hotel buffet food you’d get anywhere else. One thing I appreciated was how quiet the rooms are considering you’re in the middle of one of the world’s busiest cities. I was on the 15th floor and barely heard any street noise, which honestly shocked me. The 8.6 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s not trying to be the flashiest place in town, but everything just works the way it should. You know what I mean? Sometimes that’s exactly what you want when you’re dealing with jet lag and trying to navigate a new city.

The designs are attentive and rooms are spacious. Although it’s a bit further up from the train station, the rest of it is perfect, including the staff and the environment. Definitely will come back again the next time we come to Seoul

My stay was pleasant. The hotel was clean, and the room was spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff quickly fixed a minor issue in the bathroom, which was much appreciated. The location is decent, with a metro station 5 minutes away and a 7-Eleven nearby, and it’s easy to get to central Seoul by taxi in about 10 minutes.

Very nice staff. Extremely comfortable rooms.
Breakfast is very complete. Both Asian and Europen dishes. The hot dishes were a little bit lukewarm though.
The lounge on the 18th floor is also very nice. Nice choice of food and drinks.
Location is very good if you need to be in the city.Diana from Switzerland (8/10)
