Shilla Stay Seodaemun Seoul Station
Your Seoul Retreat
I’ll be honest, when I first walked into Shilla Stay Seodaemun Seoul Station, I wasn’t expecting much – it’s one of those business hotels that sounds pretty corporate, you know? But actually, this place surprised me in the best way. The lobby has this clean, minimalist vibe that somehow manages to feel warm rather than sterile, and the staff genuinely seemed happy to help rather than just going through the motions. What really sold me was how quiet it was despite being so close to all the action – I mean, you’re practically on top of Seoul Station, but once you’re inside, you’d never know it.
The location is honestly perfect if you’re doing any serious exploring of Seoul. I stayed here during a four-day trip last spring, and I could walk to Myeongdong in about fifteen minutes, hit up Namdaemun Market without breaking a sweat, and – this is huge – getting to and from Incheon Airport was ridiculously easy. No dragging luggage up and down subway stairs or trying to figure out which bus to take. The rooms themselves are what I’d call thoughtfully designed rather than flashy. Everything works exactly like it should, the beds are actually comfortable (not always a given in Seoul business hotels), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The bathroom surprised me too – decent water pressure and it stayed hot, which sounds basic but you’d be amazed how many places mess that up.
You know what I really appreciated? The little details that show someone was actually thinking about travelers’ needs. The outlets are in smart spots, there’s a proper desk if you need to get work done, and the blackout curtains actually block out the city lights. The breakfast situation is solid – not mind-blowing, but fresh and filling with both Korean and Western options. I found myself grabbing coffee there most mornings before heading out, and the staff remembered how I liked it by day three, which was a nice touch. The whole experience just felt… competent, I guess? Like they know what they’re doing and they care about doing it well. It’s got that 4-star comfort level without any pretension, and honestly, after long days walking around the city, that’s exactly what you want to come back to.
To book hotel in Seoul during the vibrant cherry blossom season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts K-culture enthusiasts and modern travelers from around the world.

Guest Reviews
Excellently located next to a metro stop.
It's a lovely hotel with good staff catering to international clientele. The size of the rooms are on par with western hotels and the amenities in the rooms are wonderful as well. The beds are comfortable and clean, and the rooms all come with windows that open and have screens.
Hotel staff was very friendly throughout my stay, from housekeeping to reception and restaurant personnel. My room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, pillows as well. Food at the hotel's restaurant was tasty and there was always a nice variety of food options. Something that I have not encountered before, was that even during breakfast, the restaurant had a chef on stand-by that could prepare food on request, whether that was an omelette, fried eggs, etc. That was quite nice.
Central location to visit Seoul
The hotel is in an awesome location. Basically on top of the metro. The staff is very kind and helpful. Breakfast is pretty good!

The location was excellent for us.
The location was good. It is close to the MRT, the exit is right in front of the hotel.
Room is spacious for 2 people. I was worried it will feel cramped but it wasn’t that bad.
Bathroom was really modern! Toilet has a seat warmer and bidet.
