You know what struck me first about Shilla Stay Samsung COEX Center? It’s that rare hotel that actually gets business travelers – and I mean really gets them. You can literally walk to the convention center in your pajamas if you wanted to (though I wouldn’t recommend it).

The staff here deserves a shout-out too – they’re genuinely helpful without being overly formal, which can sometimes feel a bit much in Korean hotels. Check-in is always smooth, and they remember you if you’re a repeat visitor, which is a nice touch. Now, I’ll be honest about the 7.6 rating – it’s not a luxury resort, and you can tell it’s more focused on being practical than flashy. The breakfast is decent but nothing to write home about, and the gym is pretty basic if you’re into that. But here’s the thing – for a solid 4-star business hotel, it delivers exactly what it promises. The location alone makes it worth considering, especially since you’re walking distance from Bongeunsa Temple if you want a quick escape from the corporate vibe, and the whole Gangnam shopping and dining scene is right at your doorstep. If you’re looking for something reliable, well-located, and reasonably priced for the area, this place actually makes a lot of sense.
