Seoul N Hotel Dongdaemun
Your Seoul Retreat
You know what caught me off guard about Seoul N Hotel Dongdaemun? It’s actually way more comfortable than you’d expect from a 3-star place in this part of town. I mean, let’s be honest – Seoul has no shortage of budget hotels that feel like they haven’t been updated since the 90s, but this one genuinely surprised me. The lobby has this clean, modern vibe without trying too hard to be trendy, and honestly, the staff spoke better English than I was anticipating. Check-in was smooth, which matters more than people think when you’re jet-lagged and just want to drop your bags.
The location is really what makes this place work though. You’re right in the thick of Dongdaemun, which means you can literally roll out of bed and be shopping at the night markets within five minutes – no exaggeration. I stayed here during peak shopping season (well, every season is peak shopping season in Dongdaemun if we’re being real), and having the hotel so close to all the action was perfect. You can hear some street noise if you’re a light sleeper, but it’s more the hum of city life than anything jarring. Plus, the Dongdaemun History & Culture Park station is close enough that getting around the rest of the city is actually pretty painless.
What I really appreciated was how the rooms felt bigger than typical Seoul standards – you can actually open your suitcase without doing some kind of furniture Tetris. The beds are firm in that Korean way that either works for you or doesn’t, but I slept well enough. The bathrooms are compact but functional, with decent water pressure and those heated toilet seats that you forget you love until you’re back home. The 7.1 rating makes sense to me because it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers on the basics without any major complaints. I’d definitely consider staying here again, especially if I was planning to spend most of my time exploring the Dongdaemun area or needed easy subway access to other parts of Seoul. For the price point, it’s a solid choice that won’t leave you with any horror stories to tell your friends back home.

Guest Reviews
The staff was so nice, respectful and welcoming. After staying there for a month I felt like I was at home! Breakfast was delicious and the hotel is also surrounded by many great food restaurants.
near convenience store :)
The beds were comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was located near a lot of markets and vintage stores which is ideal if that's something you're into. There are also a lot of restaurants in the area, we had one of our best meals in South Korea at a restaurant nearby. The room was small but there was enough space for us as two adults with two big suitcases.
Nothing I can think of

I really liked the bed, It was super comfortable and can easily fit the luggage underneath. I also liked the location, it was close to dongmyo metro station and a bus stop, it was near to convenience store too. The staff was really friendly and helpful.
Nice place to stay, the mixed dorm is not to big but I think it’s enough !
It's near a station
Access to a laundromat, convenience store and public transport (both MRT and buses) are some things worth mentioning. Cleanliness was satisfactory.
