You know what caught me off guard about Hostel Korea – Ikseon? The moment you step inside, it doesn’t feel like your typical cramped hostel at all. The location is pretty brilliant, actually. The hostel itself feels more like staying at a friend’s well-designed apartment than institutional accommodation. The common areas have this warm, minimalist vibe – lots of natural wood and soft lighting that makes you want to hang out rather than just pass through. I noticed they’ve put real thought into the little things too: the beds are sturdy (no squeaking when your roommate rolls over at 2 AM), there’s decent privacy curtains, and honestly the bathrooms are cleaner than some hotels I’ve stayed at.
