Seoul House Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Seoul House, I wasn’t expecting much from this 3-star spot. The building itself is pretty understated, nothing flashy, but you know what? Sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you’re exploring a busy city like Seoul. After staying there twice now (once for business, once with my sister), I’ve actually grown quite fond of the place.
The thing about Seoul House is that it gets the basics really right without trying to be something it’s not. The rooms are clean – I mean genuinely clean, not just made-bed clean – and surprisingly quiet considering you’re right in the thick of things. My room on the fourth floor had this odd little window that looked out onto a narrow alley where locals park their scooters, and honestly, watching the morning routine of the guy who runs the convenience store below became my weird daily entertainment. The Wi-Fi actually works (trust me, I tested it extensively during a three-hour video call), and the shower has proper water pressure, which is more than I can say for some pricier places I’ve stayed.
What really won me over was the staff – they’re not overly chatty, but they remember faces and actually seem to care about sorting out problems quickly. When the air conditioning went wonky during my July visit (and Seoul summers are brutal), someone was up to fix it within twenty minutes. The front desk guy even drew me a little map showing the best route to Myeongdong that avoids the crazy tourist crowds – little touches like that make a difference. The breakfast isn’t anything to write home about, but there’s a fantastic street food market literally around the corner that opens early, so I’d skip the hotel meal and grab some hotteok from the ajumma with the cart instead. Fair warning though – the elevators are a bit slow, especially during checkout time, so maybe don’t book this place if you’re in a constant rush. For the price point and the location, Seoul House delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense, and sometimes that’s precisely what makes a trip memorable.
Hotels in Seoul offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this metropolitan hub, with easy access to world-class shopping, traditional markets, and vibrant nightlife districts.

The property is clean and the host is very responsive. Not far from a train station and about a 20 minute commute to Gangnam.
