Samsung Coex Daechi Gangnam House G
Your Seoul Retreat
You know what caught me off guard about the Samsung Coex Daechi Gangnam House G? It’s not your typical flashy Gangnam accommodation, and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work. I mean, when you think of staying in this part of Seoul, you’re probably expecting some over-the-top luxury place with marble everything – but this three-star spot has a completely different vibe that I actually found refreshing.
The location is pretty brilliant if you know the area. You’re right in the thick of things near the COEX complex, which means you can literally walk to some of the best shopping and dining without dealing with Seoul’s infamous traffic. I stayed there during a business trip last spring, and what struck me was how the staff seemed to really get what international travelers needed – none of that awkward fumbling with translations or confused looks when you ask about WiFi passwords. The rooms aren’t huge (this is Seoul, after all), but they’re smartly designed with enough space to actually unpack your suitcase, which you can’t always count on in this city. I particularly liked how quiet it was considering you’re basically in the middle of one of the busiest districts – apparently they’ve got some decent soundproofing going on.
Here’s the thing though – and this is where that 8.5 rating really shows – it’s the little details that make this place stand out. The shower pressure is actually decent (trust me, this matters more than you think after a long day walking around Seoul), and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine taking off. Plus, the breakfast situation is way better than what you’d expect from a three-star – they’ve got this mix of Korean and Western options that doesn’t feel like an afterthought. I also noticed they keep the lobby coffee fresh throughout the day, which is honestly rare. The front desk staff were genuinely helpful too, not just polite-but-useless like some places. When I needed directions to a specific restaurant in Apgujeong, the guy actually drew me a little map and warned me about construction on one of the streets. It’s that kind of practical local knowledge that you don’t get everywhere. If you’re looking for something in Gangnam that won’t break the bank but still feels comfortable and well-run, this place hits that sweet spot perfectly.

Guest Reviews
The location can’t be better than this. It’s close to Metro, Coex mall and many restaurants and bakeries. There are 2 convenient stores on the first floor. The best part is the view from the room. Even though room is in smaller side, two sided , floor to ceiling windows make it feel much larger. We had a great view of Lotte world tower . Owner was quick to reply to our inquiries.
View!
We were able to leave the luggage in the room earlier!
Good size room, very clean, near the underground system, plenty if shops, bars, restaurants etc. nearby.
Safe, convenient location to Coex, airport bus, and subway, but quieter because it is on side street and not on Teheran-ro. Spacious, clean apartment with mini kitchen and washing machine, and furnished with kitchen utensils and laundry detergent. 7-11 and CU convenience stores located in lobby downstairs.
location, utilities, sfaff. Perfect for a couple of a small family.
Good property, ideal for short visit
Location, amenities, price
Near COEX.
Had everything I needed, including amenities like soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, etc.
The area is great. It is close to Malls and the Samsung train station. Bustling area within walking distance, but apartment is in residential area, so it is quiet.
