The thing is, this isn’t one of those cookie-cutter places where every room feels identical and soulless. Each space has this lived-in quality that’s somehow both cozy and sophisticated – think vintage furniture that’s actually comfortable, not just pretty to look at. The morning light streams through these generous windows in a way that makes you want to linger over coffee instead of rushing out to sightsee. And speaking of coffee, they’ve got this little setup that’s way better than the usual hotel swill (thank god, because I’m useless before my first cup). The beds are properly firm – none of that sinking-into-quicksand nonsense that leaves you with a crick in your neck. Actually, I slept better there than I do at home most nights, which is saying something.

What really impressed me though was how the staff seemed to anticipate things without being intrusive about it. They’d casually mention that the local market gets crazy busy after 10am, or suggest ducking into this little café around the corner when it started drizzling – stuff that made a real difference to how my days unfolded. The check-in was refreshingly human too, more like catching up with someone who genuinely cares about your trip than that robotic “welcome to our establishment” routine. Look, I’ve stayed in places with twice the stars and half the heart, so when somewhere consistently earns ratings in the 9+ range, there’s usually a good reason. This place gets those details right – the ones that turn a decent stay into one of those “we should definitely come back here” conversations you have on the way to the airport.
