G Yongsan Inn
Your Seoul Retreat
First Impressions
Walking into G Yongsan Inn, you immediately get that feeling of stumbling onto something locals know about but tourists haven’t quite discovered yet. It’s tucked into the Yongsan district in a way that feels intentional — not flashy, but definitely in the right spot. The lobby is clean and straightforward, which honestly was refreshing after seeing so many hotels trying too hard with their marble and chandeliers. This three-star place knows exactly what it is, and there’s something reassuring about that kind of confidence.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s what I love about staying in Yongsan-gu — you’re close enough to everything that matters without being stuck in the tourist chaos of Myeongdong or Hongdae. The Han River is practically at your doorstep, which means early morning walks along the water when Seoul is still waking up. You know what’s really smart about this location? You can walk to Yongsan Station in about ten minutes, and from there, well, the entire city opens up. I mean, couples seem to get this — they’re rating the location 8.4, which tells you something about how romantic those river views can be at sunset.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a solid three-star — clean, functional, with that particular Korean attention to detail that shows up in unexpected places. The bed was actually comfortable (not always a given), and the bathroom had one of those rainfall showerheads that made me linger longer than I planned. What struck me most was how quiet it was at night, considering you’re right in the middle of a major district. The windows face away from the main road, which someone clearly thought through when they designed this place.
Neighborhood Discoveries
Staying here puts you in walking distance of some genuinely good local spots that most guidebooks skip over. There’s this little restaurant about three blocks away that does incredible galbi — I only found it because the front desk guy mentioned it when I asked about dinner. The area has that lived-in feel where you’ll see office workers grabbing coffee alongside families heading to the park. It’s real Seoul, not the version packaged for tourists, and that makes all the difference when you’re trying to understand a city.
Why Guests Love It
Look, G Yongsan Inn isn’t going to wow you with fancy amenities or Instagram-worthy lobbies, but it does something more valuable — it gives you a genuine base in one of Seoul’s most underrated neighborhoods. The 8.7 location rating from recent guests isn’t just about convenience (though the subway access is fantastic), it’s about being somewhere that feels authentic. When you’re paying three-star prices but getting four-star location benefits, plus that kind of local neighborhood access, you start to understand why people keep coming back here. Sometimes the best travel experiences come from places that don’t try to be everything to everyone — they just do their thing really well.

Guest Reviews
The bed was incredibly comfortable. The location is great, so close to Seoul Station.
Room was small but it was warm, clean and bed was comfortable and they had a kitchen you can use and a washer & dryer. So overall for the money it was ok. It’s very basic but was ok for a couple of nights.
This hotel is a bit off the street so it was not very noisy. There is a keypad lock system which makes sense once you figure it out. The bed was comfortable, and there was hot water in the shower. No complaints.
Good location, good wifi, possible to leave your bags before check in but you have to leave them at the reception area
the location is quite tricky. you need to go in between shops to arrive the place. but it is nice place to stay. i love it since there are many food shop around (but not for muslim). and so near to han river, Hybe Ent., bus station and subway. And very close to Seoul Station too! The bedroom and bathroom is comfortable. Fit for two with no big luggages. if you have big luggage, you still can put your luggage around the shoes area. they provide washing machine and dryer so i love it!
The beds were comfortable, and the layout of the room was good. Close to bars, restaurants, bus stops, and Subway.
Very easy to check in cause you get the door keys as a message in advance.
The staff was friendly
Answered my messàges fast enough
The property was in a great location and instructions were clear. The concept over all was a great idea.
Great location within walking distance of Seoul Station, I like walking, so I walked all over Yongsan and Itaewon and still could walk back to the hotel. I walked to the National Museum, though it was an hour away, but I like taking in the scenery as I go. Busing would have been easy, though. And I didn't need to use it, but I did love that there was a kitchen and washer/dryer available for use.
