The neighborhood around Gangnam puts you right in the thick of things without the chaos – you can walk to some incredible Korean BBQ spots that locals actually frequent, and the subway connections are solid if you want to explore other parts of the city.

I’ll be real with you though – this isn’t a budget-friendly option, and the breakfast prices will make you do a double-take. But here’s the thing: sometimes you just want to stay somewhere that gets every single detail right, from the way they fold your towels to how the lighting in the hallways makes everything feel warm instead of clinical. The infinity pool on the 24th floor is probably worth the room rate alone, especially if you time it right around sunset. The rating of 8.8 feels about right – it’s not perfect (the gym could be bigger, and good luck getting a dinner reservation at their restaurant during peak season), but it’s the kind of place that makes you understand why people become loyal to hotel brands.
