Orakai Cheonggyesan Hotel, BW Premier Collection
Your Seoul Retreat
First Impressions
Walking into Orakai Cheonggyesan Hotel, BW Premier Collection, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical Seoul business hotel. The lobby has this refined, contemporary feel that’s distinctly Korean but not overdone — you know what I mean? It’s tucked away in Seocho-gu, which honestly surprised me at first because I expected something more central, but the location actually works brilliantly. The four-star property has this calm, almost residential vibe that’s a welcome break from the intensity of downtown Seoul.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s the thing about Seocho-gu — it’s where Seoul’s professionals actually live and work, not just where tourists flock. You’re close to Gangnam without being in the thick of it, and Cheonggyesan mountain is literally right there if you want to escape the city buzz. I mean, couples seem to get this location particularly well (they rate it 8.7, which makes total sense), because it feels more authentic than staying in the obvious tourist zones. The subway connections are solid, and honestly, having free private parking here is almost unheard of in Seoul — that alone is worth mentioning.
The Room Experience
The rooms strike that perfect balance between Korean efficiency and genuine comfort. Everything feels thoughtfully designed rather than just functional, and the views toward Cheonggyesan are actually quite lovely — especially if you catch the morning light hitting the mountainside. What I appreciated most was how quiet everything stays, even though you’re still very much in the city. The beds are proper comfortable (not just firm Korean-style), and the bathrooms have that clean, modern aesthetic that Korean hotels do so well.
Breakfast & Dining
The breakfast spread here is honestly impressive — they’ve got this whole buffet setup that covers continental basics, proper Asian options, and even vegetarian and vegan choices, which isn’t always a given in Seoul hotels. I actually found myself going back for seconds of their Korean dishes because they felt authentic, not like hotel versions of Korean food. The American options are there if you need something familiar, but you’d be missing out if you didn’t try their local selections. The dining area has these large windows that make breakfast feel less rushed somehow.
Why Guests Love It
There’s something to be said for a hotel that earns genuine repeat guests, and Orakai Cheonggyesan Hotel clearly does that better than most places in Seoul. I think it comes down to the fact that this feels like a real neighborhood hotel that happens to be really well-run, rather than a tourist machine. The staff genuinely seems to remember returning guests, and the whole operation feels more personal than corporate. Plus, that 8.5 rating reflects what you actually experience — it’s an upscale stay that doesn’t feel pretentious, in a part of Seoul that gives you both mountain access and city convenience.
Seoul hotels provide guests with comfortable accommodations in South Korea’s bustling capital, known for its innovative technology, K-pop culture, and historical palaces.

The location is very good, easy to use Metro train. Quite environment.
Quiet and comfortable rooms.
Great location, basically adjacent to a metro station.
As an English speaker, the staff took great care of me, they were amazingly friendly, and very helpful when calling to the front desk. I felt so at home that I extended my stay for an additional 5 days!
Less crouded, staff was supportive, good breakfast
Room was spacious, service was prompt
During a month-long work assignment, I had the pleasure of staying at Orakai and it was nothing short of exceptional. Orakai hotel provided the perfect blend of spaciousness, comfort, and hospitality.
One of the standout features of this hotel is its spaciousness. Unlike the other hotel I stayed at, where I felt confined and restricted, the rooms here are generously sized, providing ample space to move around and unwind after a long day of work.
The calming colors and tasteful decor added to the ambiance, creating a serene and peaceful environment that was conducive to relaxation.
Overall, my experience at exceeded my expectations in every way in korea, because compared by other hotels, this was one of the most ones I felt cozy and comfortable in, from it being the spacious and comfortable accommodation to the attentive staff. it truly felt like a home away from home. Without a doubt.
A plus is its location 1 minute away from the metro and everywhere is from 12 to 34 mns maximum by metro.
The room was very clean and the proximity to the subway station made travel very convenient
It’s very close to the subway, convenience store located at property, everything is super clean and looks new. Staff members were super friendly and tried to help wherever possible
Very clean, comfortable and cozy room, nice bathroom, kind and helpful staff. Underground right next to the hotel, around 35 minutes to Seoul city centre.
