Newly Renovated Cozy Studio#9 Overview
First Impressions
When I first stepped into Newly Renovated Cozy Studio#9, honestly, the name says it all — this place feels like someone just finished putting the final touches on their passion project. Everything has that fresh, clean smell of new paint and carefully chosen furnishings, but without that sterile hotel vibe you sometimes get. The studio sits tucked away on a quiet side street in Seoul‘s Yongsan district, and you know what? That location turned out to be one of its biggest strengths.
The Space
This three-star studio is compact but incredibly well thought out — I mean, every square meter has been maximized without feeling cramped. The room flows seamlessly from the sleeping area to a small but functional kitchenette, which actually came in handy for brewing morning coffee and storing snacks from the nearby convenience stores. The renovation work is evident in all the right places: modern fixtures, updated electrical outlets (thank goodness for proper USB charging spots), and a bathroom that feels way more spacious than it should given the overall footprint.
Location Perks
Here’s where this place really shines — the Yongsan area gives you this perfect balance of local Seoul life without being completely overwhelmed by tourist crowds. I could walk to Yongsan Station in about ten minutes, which connects you to pretty much anywhere you want to go in the city. The neighborhood has this authentic feel with small restaurants, 24-hour convenience stores, and locals going about their daily routines. Couples seem to particularly love staying here (I overheard the host mentioning they get lots of positive feedback from pairs), and I can see why — it’s intimate without being isolated.
Practical Details
The studio comes equipped with everything you’d need for a comfortable stay, though don’t expect hotel-style daily housekeeping or a front desk. The kitchenette has a small refrigerator, microwave, and basic cooking supplies if you want to prepare simple meals. WiFi worked perfectly throughout my stay, and the air conditioning kept things comfortable even during Seoul’s humid summer days. The host was responsive through messaging and provided clear check-in instructions — no fumbling around trying to find keys or figure out door codes.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is how it manages to feel like a temporary home rather than just another accommodation. The recent renovation means everything works properly (you’d be surprised how rare that can be), and the location gives you genuine access to Seoul life without the premium prices of more central districts. The 9.7 rating honestly makes sense when you experience it firsthand — it’s not trying to be something it’s not, but what it does offer is executed really well. For travelers who want a clean, comfortable base with easy transit access and a taste of residential Seoul, this studio delivers exactly that.

Great location and value for money! The apartment was so clean and had everything I needed. Located in HBC, a trendy neighbourhood, it was also really close to Itaewon. The bus stop and subway station were close-by too.
Joe, the host was so helpful. He even left bottles of water at my door in the morning!Paul from Belgium (8/10)
Good location close enough to Itaewon in a quiet neighbourhood, very comfortable floor heating. Our flight was delayed so we arrived quite late, our host greeted us and gave us some food and drink to get us through our first day, also booked our taxi on the way out and was always very quick to respond and kept in touch with us. Washing machine and kitchenette available, Good value for money.

Molly from South Korea (10/10)
