Brick stay
Your Seoul Retreat
You know what really caught me off guard about Brick stay? The name makes it sound like some industrial conversion project, but honestly, it’s got this surprisingly cozy vibe that grows on you. I mean, sure, it’s a 3-star place so you’re not expecting marble lobbies or anything, but there’s something genuinely welcoming about how they’ve put everything together.
The first thing you notice walking in is how they’ve actually embraced that whole brick aesthetic – exposed walls that feel warm rather than cold, and the lighting is spot-on (none of that harsh fluorescent stuff that makes you look like a zombie in the elevator mirrors). The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully simple – clean lines, decent beds that don’t leave you with a crick in your neck, and honestly, the shower pressure is better than some fancy places I’ve stayed. There’s this attention to small details that you don’t always get at this price point… like, they’ve got proper blackout curtains that actually block light, and the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every time someone in the next room starts streaming Netflix.
What really impressed me though – and this might sound weird – is how quiet it gets at night. I’m someone who usually travels with earplugs because hotel walls are typically paper-thin, but I actually slept through the night here without them. The staff seems to know what they’re doing too; check-in was smooth, no weird upselling attempts, just friendly people who clearly take some pride in the place. I will say the breakfast situation is pretty basic (think continental, not elaborate), but there’s a decent coffee spot literally around the corner that locals seem to frequent, which is always a good sign. The whole place has this 9.2 rating, and honestly? I get it. It’s not trying to be something it’s not – just a solid, comfortable stay that doesn’t break the bank but doesn’t make you feel like you’re roughing it either. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

Guest Reviews
The space is spacious and clean, equipped with utensils and cooking equipments if you want to cook something simple. Walkable distance to train stations, nearby markets and departmental stores. The host is very responsive and helpful too!
The facility is as described and the location has access to anything you need if you want to explore the city. It's located inside the flea market which looks kind of bad but is very safe and helps that you have 2 metro stations near by and a lot of bus stations
The apartment was spacious, nice and clean. The host was very kind to us.
Super clean
Amazing stay, beautiful apartment with lots of amenities. Hosts seemed to think of everything! The area is interesting - in amongst flea markets, but easy to get around on foot. Subway was about 10 mins away. Highly recommend!
Great location, very convenient.
Very fancy rooms with enough space for a family traveller.
