I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name New Hongdae apartment, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The whole “apartment” thing made me think it might be one of those sterile, cookie-cutter places you see everywhere these days. But you know what? I was completely wrong, and I’m actually glad I gave it a shot.

The location is really what makes this place shine. You’re right in the thick of Seoul‘s most vibrant neighborhood, and I mean that in the best possible way. Hongdae has this incredible energy – it’s where all the university students hang out, street performers set up on every corner, and honestly, some of the best Korean BBQ spots are tucked away in these tiny alleys you’d never find unless you just wandered around. The apartment puts you walking distance from Hongik University, which means you’re surrounded by this constant buzz of creativity and nightlife. I spent one evening just people-watching from a nearby café, and it was better entertainment than any show I could’ve paid for.

What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to balance that urban energy with actual comfort inside. The space feels lived-in rather than hotel-sterile – there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that doesn’t feel like it was designed by a committee. The 9.5 rating makes total sense once you’re there; it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything just works. The Wi-Fi is solid (crucial when you’re trying to navigate Seoul’s subway system), and the neighborhood noise actually becomes part of the charm after the first night. Sure, it can get lively – this is Hongdae after all – but that’s exactly why you’d want to stay here instead of some quiet business district. You fall asleep to the distant sounds of street music and conversations spilling out of late-night spots, which honestly felt more authentic than the silence you get in those big chain hotels. The morning routine is fantastic too; you can grab incredible coffee and pastries from local spots within a two-minute walk, then spend your day exploring everything from vintage shops to art galleries that seem to pop up overnight. It’s the kind of place where you actually feel like you’re experiencing Seoul rather than just visiting it.

  The apartment is amazing and in a nice quiet area! The rooms are spacious, clean and comfy! The neighborhood is great, plenty of things to do in that area. Also very close to the subway.

  Superb location in walking distance to the Hongdae Red Road Nightlife area and Hapjeong-Station (underground lines 2 and 6) but itself in a quaint neighborhood with small family run restaurants and businesses close by. The apartment itself has modern, practical and very thoughtfully chosen interior with good explanations of all appliances and customs. Due to it being semi-souterrain , it stays cool even when the two air-condition units are switched off. The kitchen and bathroom are very clean, well maintained and equipped with everything you need. Compared with other apartments in Seoul, it is quite spacious. We were there with two people, but four would fit nicely without feeling like sardines.
  The proprietor is very helpful and quick to answer any questions. The conversation was always very enjoyable. We would definitely come back again.

  We had a very clean and comfort stay in this apartment. Easy access from subway station with host’s guide map, a lot of restaurants are also within walking distance. Even though the bedrooms are very quiet at nights so we really had a good sleep. The strong air conditioning is also a bonus point because the days we visited in Seoul were really hot! Highly recommended!

  去上岩看演唱會很近，去弘大也很近 ，地點滿不錯的
  性價比很高，有問題詢問房東也都會回覆，房子很乾淨

  New Hongdae Apartmanı özellikle aileler için mükemmel bir yer :)…2 ayrı oda ve mutfağın olması çok kullanışlıydı..ev tertemiz ve her ayrıntısı düşünülmüş çok güzel bir dekorasyonu vardı…metroya çok yakın ve merkezi bir konumda olması büyük avantaj…ev sahibi her konuda bize hızlı dönüş yapıp yardımcı oldu…son gün uçagımız geç saatte olunca geç check out için rica da bulunduk bizi kırmadı ve bunun içinde kendisine çok teşekkür ederiz 🙂
  
  Evi kiralarken en büyük korkum yorumlarda yazan dik merdivenler ve yokuş oldu…buna anlam veremedim….ev yokuşta değil ve herhangi bir dik merdivende yoktu… birde B04 nolu odada kalacak olursanız keypad i yukarı çekerek değil daha modern touch screen şeklinde kullanmanız gerekir.
  
  önemli bir ayrıntı = biz google map ile adresi bulmaya çalıştık ama maalesef google map Seul da düzgün çalışmıyor…Naver map i indirseniz çok rahat edersiniz.
  
  Herşey mükemmeldi Seul a yine gelecek olursak kesinlikle adresimiz yeniden New Hongdae Apartman olacaktır.

  住宿位子很好！
  從地鐵站走到住宿點拖著行李大約十分鐘內可以抵達
  （從合井站直接搭電梯喔出口沒有手扶梯）
  也沒有很陡的斜坡（這超重要）
  房東人也很好 願意讓我們提早入住超感謝🥹
  任何問題都能很及時回覆🥰
  雙床房的投影儀非常有儀式感XDD
  但雙人房沒有冷氣 不過有電風扇 也不會太熱
  房子整體很乾淨 廁所浴室也很讚！地板很快就乾了
  也有提供廚房可以簡單料理（還有附泡麵xdd）
  總而言之超級棒 住在這裡性價比超高🥰

  Das Apartment ist mit viel Liebe eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Zur Begrüßung gab es für uns Wasser, Ramen und eine nette Nachricht. Die Lage im Hochschulviertel Hongdae ist gut für junge Leute und man erreicht mit der Metro die ganze Stadt gut.

  オーナーさんがとても細かく連絡してくれて、返信も早く安心でした。お水とラーメンを人数分、そしてお手紙とキーホルダーまで置いてくださっていてとても嬉しかったです。トコジラミを心配して行ったのですが部屋全体がとても清潔で綺麗で心配要素なしです！お部屋も広く、洗濯機もついてるので最高。ドライヤーの風量も◎プロジェクターもあり、ハンガーもたくさんあったので全てにおいて快適に過ごすことができました。是非またこちらに泊まりたいです。
