La Villa Hotel
Your Seoul Retreat
I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to La Villa Hotel, I wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place. But you know what? Sometimes those mid-range spots surprise you in the best ways, and this one definitely did that for me.
The thing that struck me right away was how the staff actually seemed to care about what they were doing. I mean, check-in was smooth, no weird upselling attempts, and the guy at the front desk gave me genuinely helpful tips about the area – not just the touristy stuff everyone mentions, but real local insights. My room was on the third floor (there’s an elevator, thank god), and honestly, it was way cleaner and more thoughtfully put together than I expected. The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with it all night, which – let’s be real – happens more often than it should when you’re traveling. The bathroom was small but functional, with decent water pressure and those little touches that show someone’s paying attention to the details.
What really won me over, though, was the overall vibe of the place. It’s got this relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere that makes you feel like you can actually unwind. The common areas have this lived-in comfort to them – not fancy, but genuinely welcoming. I spent a couple evenings in the little lobby area just reading and people-watching, and it felt natural, not forced. The Wi-Fi actually worked consistently (I know, revolutionary concept), and there were enough outlets in the room that I didn’t have to choose between charging my phone and using my laptop. Parking was straightforward – there’s a small lot behind the building that’s included, which saved me the headache of hunting for street spots. The neighborhood itself is pretty quiet, especially at night, so I slept well without needing earplugs. Look, I’ve stayed in supposedly fancier places that felt sterile and overpriced, where you’re paying for marble countertops but the service is robotic and the whole experience feels manufactured. La Villa Hotel gets the fundamentals right – clean, comfortable, friendly, and honest about what it is. The 7.9 rating makes perfect sense to me; it’s exactly what you want from a solid three-star place without any pretense or disappointment. If you’re looking for a place that’ll take care of you without breaking the bank or making you feel like you’re just another credit card number, this spot delivers.

Guest Reviews
The owner was such a sweetheart. He gave me some recommendations on what to foods to try. It’s nearby the subway and bus stops all around. My room was huge and i loved the huge tub. It was a great way to unwind with a bubble bath after a long day exploring
The hotel room was big enough for 1/2 people with ease. The fridge was restocked with two water bottles and every day i got fresh new towels at my disposal. Besides the interior of the room it was pretty quiet so no outside noise at all. The hotel also had a decent location with enough small stores and restaurants nearby, and it was easy to reach using either the multiple busstations nearby, or the subway station that was about a 10 minute walk from the hotel.
Great location and neighborhood
Lots of restaurants and markets
Safe
Clean and specious room. Very polite staff. Good location.
Great option for a few day stay! A lot of daylight. Clean and spacious.
Hotel located close to metro station so it's quite easy to travel around the city. Nice and friendly staff. The room was quite big and had a very nice big window.
The manager and staff were very helpful and friendly. They gave us excellent advice on places to visit to reduce travel times, places to eat, and about general Korean culture. They also provided advice on travelling to the airport.
The room is spacious tho ugh the bed is hard nut bearable. Neer the metro station which is good.
Friendly staff. Good location near metro and hiking routes. Room with enough space.
Good location for those who like a more local vibe, as it is not a tourist area. There is a market just opposite, lots of shops around. About 500m away from 2 stations. Room and beddings are clean.
