The floors are heated, which honestly saved my life during a February visit, and there’s enough space that you’re not constantly bumping into other travelers or stepping over suitcases. What I really appreciated was having access to a proper kitchen – after a week of convenience store meals and street food (as amazing as Korean street food is), being able to cook something simple felt like such a luxury.

The location thing is actually pretty clever if you think about it. You’re walking distance from all the university bars and clubs, those legendary late-night chicken spots, and the indie music venues that make this neighborhood famous, but you’re also super connected to the rest of the city. That airport railroad connection means you can get to Incheon without dealing with the subway transfers, and honestly, after traveling around Seoul with heavy bags, that direct line is worth its weight in gold. The 8.8 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be fancy (hence the 3-star rating), but it delivers exactly what you need: space, comfort, and that rare thing in Seoul accommodations – some actual peace and quiet when you need it. Plus, there’s something really authentic about staying in a detached house in Korea – you get a glimpse of how people actually live here, not just the tourist hotel experience.

  The apartment was exactly as pictured, apart from the fridge but that was fine. It was smack bang in the middle of the touristy area.The memory foam mattresses were lovely, a little hard but lovely.

  The house is central, in Hongdae, one of the centers of the night life, so it was perfect for us to go out at night from there. We had 2 separate room, enough privacy, washing machine and dishes, pans and other things really useful that made our 10 days stay really comfortable.
