Luxury hanok with private bathtub – SN07
Your Seoul Retreat
I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Luxury hanok with private bathtub – SN07, I was skeptical. The name’s a bit clunky, right? But you know what, sometimes the best places have the worst names, and this turned out to be one of those hidden gems that completely exceeded my expectations.
Walking into this hanok feels like stepping back in time, but in the best possible way. The traditional Korean architecture is absolutely stunning – those curved rooflines and wooden beams are the real deal, not some tourist reproduction. What really got me though was how they’ve managed to blend old-world charm with modern luxury without it feeling forced or gimmicky. The courtyard is this peaceful little oasis where you can actually hear birds in the morning instead of traffic (which, honestly, is pretty rare these days). The ondol heating system keeps everything perfectly warm during colder months, and there’s something deeply satisfying about sleeping on floors that have been heated the traditional way for centuries.
But let’s talk about that private bathtub – because that’s really what sets this place apart. I mean, most hanoks are beautiful but can feel a bit spartan when it comes to modern comforts. This one nails the balance. The bathtub is this gorgeous deep soaking tub that looks out onto a private section of the garden, and after a long day of exploring, sinking into hot water while looking at traditional Korean landscaping is pretty much perfect. The bathroom itself manages to feel both luxurious and in keeping with the hanok aesthetic, which isn’t easy to pull off. They’ve used natural stone and wood that complements rather than competes with the traditional elements.
The attention to detail here is what really impressed me – from the quality of the bedding (those Korean cotton blankets are incredibly soft) to the way they’ve integrated modern amenities like excellent WiFi and climate control without disrupting the historical feel. The 4-star rating feels right; it’s definitely upscale without being stuffy or overly formal. With an 8.6 rating, other guests clearly feel the same way I do about this place. Check-in was smooth and personal – they actually take time to explain the features of the hanok and share some history, which I appreciated. The only minor thing is that the traditional sleeping arrangements might not work for everyone (though they do provide western-style bedding options if you ask).
What I loved most is how quiet it gets at night. You’re still connected to everything you need, but once evening hits, it feels like you’re in your own little world. The morning light filtering through the traditional paper windows is something special too – it creates this soft, warm glow that makes you want to linger over tea instead of rushing out to sightsee. If you’re looking for an authentic Korean experience that doesn’t sacrifice comfort, this hanok really delivers on both fronts.
Early hotels booking in Seoul requires advance planning during peak tourist seasons when visitors flock to enjoy the city’s legendary palaces, shopping districts, and Korean cultural attractions.

Guest Reviews
Beautiful hanok, modern and clean.
