JW’s Bukhansan Healing Stay II
Your Seoul Retreat
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to JW’s Bukhansan Healing Stay II, I’ll be honest — it doesn’t look like much from the outside. This three-star property sits quietly along Haedeung-ro, and you might actually drive past it if you’re not paying attention. But that’s sort of the point, I think. The whole vibe here is about stepping away from the chaos of Seoul, and the understated entrance really sets that tone from the moment you arrive.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re technically still in Seoul, but it feels like you’ve escaped to the mountains. Bukhansan National Park is literally right there, which means you can wake up and be on hiking trails within minutes. The area is residential and quiet, with small cafes and local eateries scattered around that most tourists never find. I mean, couples are rating the location 8.9 out of 10, and after spending time here, I totally get why. It’s that sweet spot where you feel removed from the city noise but can still grab a subway back to Gangnam or Myeongdong when you want to.
The Room Experience
My room was simple but thoughtfully designed — clean lines, lots of natural light, and this calming color palette that actually helps you unwind. The beds are surprisingly comfortable for a three-star place, and honestly, the mountain views from most rooms are worth the stay alone. What really impressed me was how quiet everything was. You know how hotel walls can be paper-thin? Not here. I slept better than I had in weeks, which I’m pretty sure was the whole point of calling it a “healing stay.”
Amenities & Atmosphere
The property keeps things minimal but gets the essentials right. There’s parking available, which is actually a big deal in this part of Seoul — trust me on that one. The common areas have this zen-like quality that encourages you to slow down and breathe. I spent quite a bit of time in the lobby area just reading and people-watching, something I rarely do at hotels. The staff seems to understand that guests come here to decompress, so they’re helpful without being intrusive.
Why Guests Love It
Look, if you’re expecting flashy amenities or a bustling hotel scene, this isn’t your place. But if you want to experience a different side of Seoul — one where you can hike mountain trails in the morning and still catch the subway to downtown for dinner — JW’s Bukhansan Healing Stay II really delivers. That 9.5 guest rating isn’t an accident. People come here stressed and leave refreshed, and in a city like Seoul, that’s honestly pretty remarkable. It’s become my go-to recommendation for friends who want to see Korea but need somewhere peaceful to recharge between adventures.
Seoul hotels provide guests with comfortable accommodations in South Korea’s bustling capital, known for its innovative technology, K-pop culture, and historical palaces.

Guest Reviews
Excellent value, clean and spacious enough for 3 adults and an older child.
The property had all the amenities including washer and dryer which made things a lot more comfortable for us as we didn't need to go hunting for a laundromat in the icey cold nights.
Location was also good close enough to train station and therefore we were able to make use of the climate card to get cheap travelling throughout our stay.
Awesome view on the Bukhansan, conveniently located near subway station, perfect for retreating when you still want to have bustling Seoul nearby; the flat is well equipped with washing machine and dryer as well as with kitchen facilities; and last but not least: the landlord is very kind and helpful with easy communication
Great view, clean, nice beds, comfortable kitchen.
Nice for families, if you need to cook and wash clothes for baby.
The location and great hospitality
Very comfortable apartment best I have ever visited. After staying in Seul we traveled to Pusan and Jeju staying in 4star hotels but this apartment was so much better. Owner is also very helpful. When you need any help he reacts immidietly. If I visit Seoul again I will try to rent this aparment for sure. The location is quiet, outside city center but the subway station is just few minute away.
Amazing apartment, all the amenities, beautiful and light, amazing view of the mountains.
It was very easy to communicate with our host, who could quickly answer every question. He also sent us presentation with every piece of information we may need before our trip.
Accommodation is located in a really nice neighbourhood with lots of cafes and stores. Subway station is also about 5 minute walk from the apartment.
Everthing! Everything was perfect! This much quality for this price is unbelievable!
