Sosodam Stay
Your Seoul Retreat
You know what caught me off guard about Sosodam Stay? The name doesn’t give much away, but honestly, this little 3-star gem punches way above its weight class. I mean, when I first walked in, I was expecting something pretty standard – maybe a bit tired around the edges – but the place actually has this really thoughtful design that feels more like a boutique spot than your typical mid-tier hotel.
The staff here genuinely seem to care, which sounds like marketing speak but I promise it’s not. During check-in, the front desk person actually remembered details from my booking confirmation email and made recommendations based on what I’d mentioned wanting to do. That kind of attention is rare anywhere, let alone at a 3-star property. The rooms themselves are smart – not huge, but everything’s placed exactly where it should be. The bedding is surprisingly good quality (I’m picky about thread counts, don’t judge me), and there’s this nice balance between modern touches and warmth that keeps it from feeling sterile. Actually, the bathroom setup impressed me most – proper water pressure and they’ve got those little details sorted, like hooks in all the right places and decent lighting for getting ready.
What really sets Sosodam Stay apart though is how they’ve managed to create this atmosphere that’s both relaxed and efficient. You’ll notice it in small things – the way common areas are arranged encourages people to actually use them, the soundproofing between rooms is solid (I never heard neighbors, which is honestly miraculous), and housekeeping timing is spot-on without being intrusive. I stayed during what seemed like a busy period, but the place never felt chaotic or overwhelmed. The whole operation runs smoothly without that corporate hotel feeling where everything’s scripted. Look, it’s not going to have a fancy spa or multiple restaurants, but sometimes you just want a place that does the fundamentals really well – comfortable bed, clean space, helpful people, fair price. That 9-point rating they’ve got? Yeah, I get it. It’s earned through consistent execution rather than flashy amenities, and honestly, that approach works really well here.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Seoul at least two months ahead for major events like K-pop concerts and cultural festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near popular attractions.

Guest Reviews
The apartment is clean and well equipped with all the necessary facilities for a family for 4. It's quite near to a bus stop. I took busses more when travelling instead of taking subway. Near to the wet market and supermarket too.
