I honestly loved being able to duck back to the hotel between exploring sessions – and trust me, you’ll want those breaks when you’re navigating the crowds around Myeongdong Cathedral and all those cosmetics shops. The hotel’s tucked away just enough that you escape the main street chaos, but you’re still maybe a three-minute walk from Myeongdong Station. That subway access is gold, especially when your feet are screaming after a day of walking around Dongdaemun or heading up to Namsan Tower.

What really won me over was how the staff seemed to get that most guests are there to explore, not hang out in the lobby all day. Check-in was smooth – no endless paperwork or confused looks when I spoke English. The rooms are clean and well-thought-out, though don’t expect huge spaces (this is Seoul, after all). The beds are actually comfortable, which isn’t always a given at this price point, and the bathrooms are compact but functional. I appreciated that they provided decent toiletries instead of those tiny bottles that disappear after one shower. The Wi-Fi worked reliably throughout the building, which honestly matters more than fancy marble when you’re trying to navigate a new city or stay in touch with people back home.
