Oasis Hongdae City View
Your Seoul Retreat
Honestly, when I first walked into Oasis Hongdae City View, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place in one of Seoul‘s busiest neighborhoods. But you know what? This little spot actually surprised me in all the right ways. The lobby’s nothing fancy – sort of minimalist with clean lines and that typical Korean efficiency vibe – but there’s something refreshing about a hotel that doesn’t try too hard to impress you with marble and chandeliers.
The location is what really makes this place shine, though. You’re right in the thick of Seoul’s most energetic district, and I mean RIGHT in it. Step outside and you’ll hear the buzz of street musicians warming up for their evening sets, smell the sizzling hotteok from vendors setting up shop, and see university students already planning their night out. It’s intoxicating, honestly. The thing about Hongdae is that it transforms throughout the day – mornings are surprisingly peaceful with just coffee shop regulars and early commuters, but by evening it’s this pulsing hub of music, food, and pure Seoul energy. From the upper floors (and yes, the “city view” in the name is legit), you get this great vantage point of the whole scene unfolding below.
What I appreciated most was how the hotel balances being part of the action without drowning in it. Sure, you’ll hear some street noise – this is Hongdae, after all – but the rooms are surprisingly well-insulated. I actually slept better than I expected, even on a Friday night when the clubs were going full swing just a few blocks away. The staff here gets it too; they’re young, speak decent English, and actually know the neighborhood. When I asked about finding a good late-night bibimbap spot that wasn’t touristy, the front desk guy didn’t hesitate to point me toward this tiny place tucked behind the main strip that locals actually frequent. The rooms themselves are clean and functional – nothing Instagram-worthy, but everything works properly and there’s decent water pressure (which honestly matters more than fancy toiletries). My only real complaint is that the elevators are a bit slow during peak hours, but I mean, you’re staying in the heart of university party central for a fraction of what you’d pay in Gangnam. The trade-offs make sense. If you want to experience Seoul’s creative energy without breaking the bank or commuting from some sterile business district, this place gets the job done with a smile.

Guest Reviews
location is good. Very close to the bus station to ICN airport
Location is great. It's really convenient.
View is great.
Unit is really big for us since we are only 2 who stayed there, but can accommodate for bigger pax for sure.
Big
It was central
Great location and the view was incredible. The apartment is in the same building as the Dunkin Donuts. Information for self check-in is sent the day before. Air con and fan in the room meant that the stay was comfortable. Beds were a good size and comfy too. Small kitchenette with everything you need for a short stay. Bathroom is a wet room, the air con pipe discharges here so the floor can be a little wet but there are plenty of shoes/slippers in the cupboard so not an issue for us. Would recommend!
