Hilton Garden Inn Seoul Gangnam
Your Seoul Retreat
I’ll be honest – when I first walked into the Hilton Garden Inn Seoul Gangnam, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star property in one of the world’s most expensive neighborhoods. But you know what? This place actually gets it right in ways that matter. The lobby has this clean, modern vibe without trying too hard, and the staff genuinely seemed happy to see guests (which, if you’ve stayed at budget hotels in busy districts, you know isn’t always the case). The check-in was refreshingly quick – I mean, they had me sorted and heading to the elevator in maybe five minutes, even during what seemed like a busy afternoon rush.
What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to carve out this little oasis of calm in the middle of Gangnam’s controlled chaos. My room overlooked one of the side streets, so I got to watch the daily rhythm of Seoul without the constant hum of Gangnam-daero traffic that keeps you up at night. The rooms themselves are compact but smartly designed – everything has its place, and the bed was honestly better than I expected for the price point. The bathroom felt almost luxurious with good water pressure and those little touches like decent toiletries that make you feel like they actually care. I particularly loved the blackout curtains (essential when you’re dealing with jet lag and Seoul’s bright nights), and the air conditioning worked like a dream during my summer stay.
Here’s the thing about staying in Gangnam – you’re paying premium prices just for the zip code, but this Hilton Garden Inn somehow makes it work. You’re literally a ten-minute walk from some of the best Korean BBQ spots that locals actually frequent, not just the touristy places. The Sinnonhyeon subway station is close enough that you don’t need to factor in taxi costs every time you want to explore, but far enough that you’re not dealing with the constant foot traffic around the main Gangnam station. The hotel’s restaurant serves a solid international breakfast that’ll fuel you for a full day of sightseeing, though honestly, with all the incredible street food options nearby, you might want to venture out instead. With an 8.7 rating from actual guests, it’s clear I’m not the only one who found this place to be a pleasant surprise – it’s one of those hotels that doesn’t promise the moon but delivers exactly what you need for a comfortable Seoul adventure.

Guest Reviews
This is our second time here in Hilton Garden Inn and we are really happy and feeling comfort during our stay. Last time the amenity the hotel provide was Crabtree & Evelyn, which came into a trial size and it run out so fast. This time the amenity is from Peter Thomas Roth, it smelled really nice and came into big size so we didnt bother to ask. The cleaning service is so well during our stay.
Hotel was cleanand spacious. Great facilities with self service laundry 24 hours. Overall great place to stay!
Location close to many grocery stores and food restaurants
The roof top pool is outstanding
The location was perfect and a minute walking distance from Yangjae subway station. The staff were at all times very professional and helpful. Rooms were well air conditioned, clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay again as well as recommend to all.
Overall, it's a nice city center type hotel: kind staff, comfortable rooms and a vibrant location right in the heart of Gangnam. It's the right type of place to stay at if you're mostly using it to spend the night cause you're busy out and about during the day. I was too busy during my stay, so I didn't get to try the rooftop pool or the hotel's restaurant and cafe. But everything looked very inviting, so I'd definitely be happy to go back there and give those a shot.
Very large, well-appointed room with a great view. Good bathroom and a rooftop pool as well. Location is very handy for the metro.
The staff were incredible, such a big sized room, accommodated 4 people in one room which was amazing, the buffet was delicious and clean, incredible stay. Definitely will come back.
Breakfast and location were both excellent
We love it's location. It is near the subway and bus stops, as well as some shopping stores. They were very responsive to our requests, like bathroom refill.
