What really won me over, though, was how they handle the details. The residences part isn’t just marketing speak – these are proper apartment-style setups with kitchenettes that actually work. I stayed for a week and cooked breakfast most mornings, something I never bother with at hotels because the “kitchenette” usually means a mini-fridge and a sad coffee maker. Here, you get real counter space and appliances that don’t look like they came from a college dorm. The 8.8 rating makes total sense when you realize they’ve thought about long-term comfort, not just the Instagram moment when you first walk in. Check-in was refreshingly smooth too – no twenty-minute upselling session, just efficient service from staff who actually seemed to know the neighborhood well enough to give useful recommendations. The soundproofing deserves a mention because Yongsan can get busy, but I never had issues with street noise, even facing the main road. Parking was straightforward, which is honestly a minor miracle in this part of Seoul. If I had one tiny complaint, it’d be that the gym gets pretty crowded around 7 AM – apparently everyone has the same bright idea about beating the Seoul heat with early workouts.
