The thing about this hotel is its location in Gangnam – and I don’t mean that in a cheesy Psy reference way. It’s genuinely positioned in the heart of Seoul‘s business district, but what struck me was how quiet my room was despite being surrounded by the city’s energy. You’re literally walking distance from COEX Mall (which, honestly, you could spend an entire day exploring), and the subway connection is so seamless that getting anywhere in the city becomes effortless. What I really appreciated was the staff’s approach – they don’t hover, but somehow they always appear exactly when you need them. The concierge team actually knows the neighborhood beyond the typical tourist spots, which is refreshing.

The rooms themselves are spacious by Seoul standards, and I’m talking genuinely spacious, not just “well, it’s bigger than a Tokyo hotel room” spacious. The views from the higher floors are something else – you get this sweeping panorama of the Han River and the city sprawling out in all directions. What I loved was the attention to details you don’t always notice right away: the bathroom lighting is actually flattering (miracle!), the bed linens feel substantial without being heavy, and the blackout curtains completely block out Seoul’s neon glow when you need real sleep. The fitness center surprised me too – it’s not just a few treadmills thrown in a basement room, but a proper facility with equipment that’s actually maintained. You know what really won me over though? The breakfast spread. Sure, there’s the standard international fare, but they also do justice to Korean breakfast options, and the coffee – well, let’s just say I didn’t need my usual Starbucks run. The pool area feels like a genuine escape from the urban intensity outside, even though you’re still very much in the middle of everything. If I had to nitpick, the lobby can get pretty bustling during peak business hours since it’s popular with corporate travelers, but that’s more of an observation than a complaint. This place manages to feel both impressively grand and surprisingly comfortable at the same time.
