Fairmont Ambassador Seoul
Your Seoul Retreat
You know what really struck me about the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul? It’s one of those places where you can tell they’ve actually thought about what travelers need, not just what looks good in photos. I mean, sure, it’s a five-star property so you’d expect certain things, but there’s something different about how they handle the details here.
The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel connected to the real pulse of Seoul without being stuck in some sterile hotel district. You’re right in the thick of things in Yeouido – I could walk to the Han River in about ten minutes when I needed to clear my head, and the subway connections are actually useful (not just “conveniently located” like every hotel claims). The financial district buzz during weekdays gives the area this energetic vibe, though it does quiet down considerably on weekends if that matters to you. What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the neighborhood – when I asked about late-night food options, the concierge didn’t just hand me a generic list but actually told me which jjajangmyeon place stays open latest and tastes best after a long day.
The rooms themselves feel substantial, if that makes sense. Not just big for the sake of being big, but thoughtfully laid out with those floor-to-ceiling windows that make Seoul’s skyline feel like part of your temporary living space. The bedding is that perfect weight where you sink in just enough without feeling swallowed up, and honestly, the shower pressure was better than my apartment back home. I stayed during cherry blossom season – which, fair warning, means everything is busier and pricier – but even then the hotel never felt chaotic or overwhelmed. The breakfast setup impressed me too; they’ve got this mix of Korean and international options that doesn’t feel forced or touristy. You can get proper kimchi jjigae alongside decent coffee, and both are actually good. The service throughout my stay hit that sweet spot between attentive and not hovering – they remembered my name after the first day but weren’t constantly checking if I needed anything. With an 8.5 rating, I’d say that’s pretty spot-on; it’s not perfect (the gym could be bigger, and Wi-Fi occasionally got spotty in the evenings), but it’s the kind of place where the things that matter most just work smoothly.

Incredible service at all times. One of my best business stays
The location was convenient between two subway stations, most of the destinations are in acceptable distance. Two grocery stores nearby (7-11 & GS25).
The staff speak English and are friendly, Chloe from the front desk was helpful and ordered me a ride, their concierge was great and modified my schedule, Geo from room service was super kind, Housekeeping were great, I really loved everything and everyone.
I would definitely recommend Fairmont.
Second visit. Great hotel, handy location for where I was working. Super friendly staff, spacious rooms. Immaculately clean.
Excellent staff and outstanding location.
Excellent facilities and staff, very comfortable accommodations in a convenient central location. Can visit with confidence that your stay will be comfortable and stress-free.
Sijainti, siisteys ja viihtyvyys.
The cleanliness and comfort.
The property was luxurious.
Gorgeous hotel, smells amazing & has lots of friendly staff who all spoke perfect English. The hotel is in a great area of Seoul.
Stunning hotel. Wonderful design. Very arty. Beautifully presented. Huge rooms with amazing views. We decided to spoil ourselves by booking The Fairmont and we felt spoiled. Wonderful roof top cocktail bar. Views of the river and other sky-scrappers, very dramatic. Loved my room.
The shopping plaza connected to the hotel is very classy. We spent a lot of time there and not normally my thing.
