DK House
Your Seoul Retreat
You know what caught me off guard about DK House? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not – and honestly, that’s exactly what made my stay memorable. When I first walked in, I was expecting your typical budget-friendly setup (it’s a 3-star after all), but there’s this genuine warmth to the place that you can’t fake.
The staff actually remembers your name after the first day, which sounds small but makes a huge difference when you’re dragging yourself back after a long day of sightseeing. I mean, the front desk guy – I think his name was Martin – knew I preferred my coffee black by day three and had it ready before I even asked. That kind of attention doesn’t happen at the big chain hotels, trust me. The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but everything works properly. The shower has decent water pressure (always my first test), and the beds are firm enough that you won’t wake up with a backache. I actually slept better here than I did at a 4-star place I stayed at the month before.
What really sets DK House apart though is how they handle the little things that matter when you’re traveling. The WiFi actually works in every corner of the building – I tested it because I’m paranoid about these things – and they have these charging stations in the lobby that saved me when I realized I’d forgotten my adapter. The breakfast isn’t elaborate, but it’s fresh and there’s enough variety that you won’t get bored if you’re staying for several days. Plus, they keep it going until 10 AM, which is a blessing if you’re not a morning person like me. The location works well too, though you’ll want to ask at the front desk about the best walking routes to wherever you’re headed – they know shortcuts that’ll save you time and give you a better feel for the area. Parking can be a bit tight during busy periods, but they’ve got arrangements with a nearby lot that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. With an 8.3 rating, DK House has clearly figured out that it’s the genuine hospitality and getting the basics right that keeps people coming back, rather than trying to impress with flashy amenities they can’t maintain properly.
To book a hotel in Seoul during major cultural festivals, travelers need early planning as this dynamic capital draws visitors eager to experience its cutting-edge technology and rich traditional heritage.

Guest Reviews

host really helpful and fast response.
nearby grocery store helps us with snack
Well located, many convenience stores and eateries within a 5 min walk as well as subway station. A block off the main road so little traffic noise. Room was clean & well equipped, washing was a lifesaver. Prompt response to messages and queries from host.
Very good location near metro line and in the middle of student quarter. Full functional kitchen including washing machine. Of course you cannot expect a big apartment in the middle of a city.
large space with low price. close to subway station.
Clean, Comfy, Safe, location was really great as it was 5min walk to the the station. Many food places near too and convenience store.
There is a washing machine with detergent and fabric softener. The bathroom has a curtain so you won't get everywhere wet. Full mirror and Netflix account was a plus. There is plenty of clean towels. The beds are very comfortable.
- Excellent location.
The location and the vibe of the apartment and the modern style.
- Very spacious flat
- Washing machine, fridge, kettle, microwave and all the kitchenware included
- Great location
- An okay wifi. Not super fast but I managed to work the whole week. They had to initially send someone to fix it as it wasn’t working at all but once they fixed it was all good
