Honestly, when I first walked into Complace D, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place – but you know what? Sometimes you get pleasantly surprised. The lobby has this understated charm that feels more genuine than flashy, and the staff actually seemed to remember my name after the first day, which is rare these days. I mean, sure, it’s not going to blow you away with marble everything and gold-plated fixtures, but there’s something refreshing about a hotel that just focuses on getting the basics really, really right.

What struck me most was how quietly efficient everything ran. The elevators didn’t creak (trust me, I’ve stayed in places where that’s not a given), the wifi actually worked consistently – even during what seemed like peak hours when everyone was streaming something – and the rooms had that lived-in comfort without feeling worn down. The beds are honestly better than some 4-star places I’ve crashed at, and whoever chose the pillows deserves a raise. I’m picky about pillows. The bathrooms are compact but thoughtfully designed, with decent water pressure and those little touches like actual hooks for your clothes instead of just towel bars. You’d be amazed how many places miss details like that.

Here’s the thing about this place – it’s got an 8.4 rating for good reason, and it’s not because they’re trying too hard. The housekeeping is spot-on (I accidentally left my laptop charger plugged in behind the bed, and they carefully coiled it and left it on the desk), and there’s this quiet professionalism that makes you feel like you’re in capable hands. The location works well if you don’t mind a short walk to get to the main action – actually, I kind of preferred it because you get that peaceful feeling when you come back at night, but you’re not stuck in the middle of nowhere. Parking was straightforward, which saved me the usual urban hotel headache of circling blocks looking for a spot. The breakfast isn’t fancy, but it’s fresh and filling, and they had real coffee, not that mystery powder some places try to pass off. I’d definitely consider staying here again – it’s one of those places that just works without any drama, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

  We got a different option to what we booked. Instead of one apartment with 3 bedrooms, we got two separate apartments beside each other. They were both lovely. Clean and easy to find.
  It was our second time in Seoul and we were so happy to have found a good location this time. A lot of cafes and restaurants around it.

  -Cleanliness , very clean
  -Location is very good – within 5 mins from hongik university station . You can take the airport rail from Incheon and straight to hongik ( exit 3 )and you do not need to change the train
  – food was around us , very convenient , there’s 2-3 convenient store
  -Bed was comfortable
  -Design of the property was very cozy and warm
  – heating for shower is good
  – the shampoo and conditioner was really good
  – hairdryer was good n dried our hair nicely
  – no place to store your luggage , but owner was kind to allow us to put it outside of the rooms first .

  Good place if you wanna hang around Heongdae for a few nights with friends. Everything is close by, restaurants, bars, GS25. Parking is really hard to find (and pricey), so plan accordingly. The apartment was clean, very well equipped, the owner's response to my messages was fast, and the instructions were clear. Rooms are cozy and clean. Each room has AC, except for the bathroom, here's a window with a curtain. We were booking an apartment for 5 people, so we had to take stairs. Mind that if your movement is restricted – there's no elevator and the room is not wheelchair accessible. The apartment is in this dead-end street with one small restaurant that seems sketchy during the night, but we had no issues. Close to Hongik University Station.

  It’s spacious and clean. The inferior design was nice and the beds are so comfortable. It’s silent at night and I sleep so well.
