Your Seoul Retreat
First Impressions
Look, I’ll be honest — when I first saw the name Breakfast included, cozy 2-room accommodation, 6 minutes walk from Hwagok Station, close to Gimpo Airport, Hongdae, and KBS Arena, I thought someone had accidentally copied their entire listing description as the hotel name. But you know what? That’s actually pretty smart marketing because it tells you everything upfront. This three-star place in Seoul doesn’t mess around with fancy branding — it just delivers exactly what it promises.
Location That Actually Works
The Hwagok area isn’t where most tourists end up, but honestly, that’s part of its charm. You’re genuinely six minutes from Hwagok Station (I timed it), which puts you on Line 5 — super easy to get anywhere in Seoul from there. What I really appreciated was being close to Gimpo Airport instead of Incheon; if you’re flying domestic or to Japan, this saves you hours of travel time. Plus, when you want that classic Seoul nightlife experience, Hongdae is just a quick subway ride away, but you get to escape back to this quieter neighborhood afterward.
The Space Itself
The two-room setup is what makes this place work so well for couples (and I can see why they rate it so highly). You’ve got a proper living area separate from the bedroom, which means you can actually spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The room feels more like a small apartment than a typical hotel space — there’s even a little kitchenette where you can make coffee or heat up those convenience store finds. Everything’s clean and functional, though don’t expect Instagram-worthy interiors.
Breakfast and Practical Perks
Since breakfast is literally in the name, I had decent expectations — and they delivered a solid Korean-style morning meal. Nothing fancy, but it’s filling and saves you from wandering around looking for food when you’re jet-lagged. The staff actually knows enough English to help with basic questions, which isn’t always a given in this part of Seoul. There’s also parking available, which is honestly a miracle in this city if you’re planning to rent a car for day trips.
Why Guests Love It
That perfect 10 rating isn’t an accident — this place just works really well for what it is. Couples seem to love having the extra space and the authentic neighborhood feel, while still being connected to everything Seoul has to offer. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or rooftop pools, but you’re getting a genuinely comfortable base that feels more like staying in someone’s well-organized guest apartment. The location score of 9.4 makes total sense once you realize how easy it is to get around from here, and honestly, sometimes that matters more than thread count.
