The bathroom amenities were top-notch (those rainfall showers are no joke), but more importantly, they had proper outlets near the desk and bedside – sounds basic, I know, but you’d be amazed how many five-star places still make you choose between charging your phone and having decent lighting. The fitness center stays open 24/7, which was a lifesaver for my messed-up sleep schedule, and the pool area actually has some natural light, not like those dungeon-level hotel pools you sometimes get stuck with. I will say the breakfast buffet leans heavily international, so if you’re hoping for an authentic Korean morning spread, you might want to venture out to the street food vendors around Myeongdong instead – though honestly, their coffee game is strong enough that I found myself lingering over multiple cups while planning my day. The location really is the sweet spot for exploring Seoul – close enough to the palaces and shopping districts that you can walk, but tucked away enough that you’re not constantly fighting tourist crowds just to get in and out of your hotel.
