Wecostay Gangnam
Your Seoul Retreat
Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first booked Wecostay Gangnam – the name sounds pretty straightforward, but you know how that goes with hotels sometimes. What I found though was this surprisingly solid little place that actually gets what travelers need without all the fuss. The lobby has this clean, minimal vibe that feels more like a well-designed apartment building than your typical tourist hotel, which I mean, is exactly what you want when you’re trying to blend in and not scream “visitor” everywhere you go.
The thing that really struck me about staying here was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the neighborhood – not just the obvious tourist spots everyone mentions, but like, which convenience store stays open latest (there’s a GS25 practically next door that’s become my go-to), where to grab decent coffee before 7am, that sort of insider knowledge. The rooms themselves are compact but thoughtfully laid out – honestly, I’ve stayed in places twice the size that felt more cramped because everything was just thrown together. Here, there’s actually space to open your suitcase without doing some weird furniture shuffle dance. The shower pressure is solid too, which sounds like a small thing until you’ve had a long day walking around the city and desperately need that hot water to actually, you know, work properly.
What really won me over though was the location – you’re right in the heart of things but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with constant street noise at night. I could walk to most places I wanted to check out, and when I couldn’t, the subway connections nearby made getting around pretty seamless. The building itself feels secure without being intimidating, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no weird upselling or confusing key card explanations. I stayed during what turned out to be a pretty busy season, but the common areas never felt overcrowded or chaotic. Actually, that 9.1 rating makes total sense to me now – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the district, but it does what it promises really well. For a 3-star spot, it punches above its weight in all the ways that actually matter when you’re traveling.
Exploring Seoul offers visitors an unforgettable journey through South Korea’s dynamic capital, from its historic Joseon palaces to its futuristic districts and world-renowned Korean entertainment culture.

Guest Reviews
Good location, quite spacious for 3 people. It has everything that you need.
It was in a good location but the view wasn’t as described
Nice location, comfortable apartment with everything you might need. Good value for money.
Perfect 13 days stay in an apartment with all amenities you can imagine.
All you need for a short or long stay for everybody in one room.
Very clean, comfortable, easy access and safe place.
Congratulation to whom that make this luxury place.
The location is quite convenient for us.
It's a new building so everything was exceptionally clean
Clean and tidy. A lot of cabinets.
All necessary equipment was available in the apartment, extremely clean and comfortable, some restaurants near by and convenient small shops 24h
The location was near to public transport. Comfortable apartment and clean.
Requested early check in but the room wasn't ready and they waived the fee which was nice if them. They provided instructions on how to use items in the apartment
The room was very nice, it is located in a strategic area and not far from Nambu Bus Terminal station and other bus stops (also airport bus stop). The area is also lively even until midnight. There are several convenience stores and - 24h restaurant around. The room is clean and very modern. Worth it!
