Viva La Vida – Seochon Private Apartment
Your Seoul Retreat
You know what really surprised me about Viva La Vida – Seochon Private Apartment? I went in expecting just another Seoul rental, but this place actually gets what travelers want from staying in one of the city’s most authentic neighborhoods. Seoul has plenty of flashy hotels in Gangnam or Myeongdong, but honestly – and I mean this – you’d be missing out on the real soul of the city if you don’t experience Seochon.
The apartment sits right in the heart of this historic hanok village area, which means you’re literally walking the same narrow alleyways that Korean artists and writers have been wandering for decades. I loved stepping outside in the morning and seeing actual locals heading to the traditional market instead of hordes of tourists with selfie sticks. The owner clearly knows this neighborhood inside out – they’ve got this whole setup figured out where you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s place rather than some sterile accommodation. The space itself has this perfect balance of modern comfort (thank god for proper heating and fast wifi) while keeping that cozy, residential feel that makes Seochon special. I mean, you’re getting a 9.6 rating for good reason – everything from the check-in process to the little touches like local area recommendations actually works smoothly.
What really sold me though was the location’s proximity to Gyeongbokgung Palace without the tourist trap pricing and crowds of staying right next to it. You can walk to the palace in maybe ten minutes, but more importantly, you’re surrounded by these incredible little galleries, traditional tea houses, and hole-in-the-wall restaurants that most visitors never discover. I spent one evening just wandering around finding these tiny art studios tucked between hanok houses – stuff you’d never stumble across if you were staying in the typical hotel districts. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet after 10 PM (which some people might find too calm, honestly), but I found it refreshing after dealing with Seoul’s intensity all day. Plus there’s something really satisfying about having your own kitchen when you want to grab ingredients from the local market and just chill out. If you’re someone who actually wants to experience Seoul beyond the Instagram spots and shopping districts, this place gives you that authentic residential experience without sacrificing comfort.
Apartments in Seoul provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Korean markets and experience daily life in modern residential neighborhoods.

Guest Reviews
We love everything about Viva la Vida..the location is very strategic, easy access to public transports, very close to the palace, within walking distance. The area itself is very nice and quiet, at the same time very modern. The apartment itself is very clean, the facilities are great. Tony was very responsive to every question or query that we had. We had ag great stay. Should we happen to revisit Seoul, we would be inclined to stay in Viva la Vida again!
the room is very spacious. room is clean. equipped with refrigerator, oven, microwave, coffee maker and dryer. i love the deco of this house. the best part is we have massage chair in the house.
The owner is also very friendly and assist us during the check in
The neighborhood is good, very quite and we feel safe. There are many coffee shops in this area. Very close to Tongin market and convenience store. I definitely will come again.

everything
Nice massage chair, bedrooms and living room. Super location. Nice and cosy interior. Good and comfortable beds. Cute cafe close by as well as small grocery shop.
