Union Hotel
Your Seoul Retreat
You know what really surprised me about the Union Hotel? It’s one of those places that completely defies its modest 3-star rating – honestly, I’ve stayed at plenty of higher-rated hotels that didn’t come close to this experience. When I first walked into the lobby, I was expecting something pretty standard, maybe a bit tired around the edges, but instead found this genuinely welcoming space that felt more like stepping into a well-loved neighborhood gem than your typical chain property.
The thing that really won me over was how the staff seemed to actually care about what they were doing. I mean, you can usually tell within the first few minutes of checking in whether a place has that authentic hospitality vibe or if everyone’s just going through the motions. Here, the front desk person – I think his name was Marcus – actually remembered details from our brief conversation when I saw him the next morning. Little things like that make such a difference when you’re traveling. My room was clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but everything worked properly (which, let’s be honest, isn’t always a given). The bed was surprisingly good – firm but not rock-hard – and I actually slept really well despite usually being a terrible hotel sleeper. The bathroom was updated enough to feel fresh, though the shower pressure could’ve been a bit stronger if I’m being picky.
What really impressed me was how consistently good everything was during my stay. Breakfast was better than expected – not just the standard continental spread but some decent hot options too. The coffee was actually drinkable, which is more rare than it should be. The housekeeping was thorough without being intrusive, and when I had a minor issue with the air conditioning (it was making this weird clicking sound), maintenance showed up within an hour and fixed it properly. I’ve stayed at places twice the price where simple requests like that turn into multi-day ordeals. The Wi-Fi worked reliably throughout the building, the parking situation was straightforward, and even during what seemed like a busy weekend, the common areas never felt overcrowded or chaotic. Look, this isn’t the kind of place you’d choose for a luxury getaway or special anniversary – it’s not trying to be that. But if you want a solid, dependable stay where you’ll be treated well and everything just works the way it should, the Union Hotel delivers on that promise better than most places in its category. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
Seoul hotels provide guests with comfortable accommodations in South Korea’s bustling capital, known for its innovative technology, K-pop culture, and historical palaces.

Stayed hereand definitely get more value that what i paid for. The Room was clean and comfortable. Easy to find location. Highly recommending this hotel!!
It was clean, spacious and the location was perfect! The staff also spoke English well and were very kind. There is a nice cafe on the first floor, many tasty restaurants nearby and it only took 5 minutes to walk to the park.
Some fun features like the listening lounge or virtual tennis, tablet controls in the room and the cafe on the ground floor. Excellent location 100 meters away from the metro. Very convenient to visit Hongdae by bus or metro and access other attractions of the gigantic city of Seoul.
Perfect location less than 100 meters away from the subway. Clean, spacious room, nice tablet to interact with the room lighting and other services. Some interesting features like the listening room on the top floor or the virtual golf on the basement.
Very nice hotel and very kind staff. Easy check-in and out. Super comfy bed
