When I checked in, the staff knew my name without me having to spell it three times, which always impresses me. The rooms have this lived-in comfort that you don’t get at chain places – I mean, everything’s clean and well-maintained, but there’s character in the furniture choices and artwork that feels curated rather than ordered from some corporate catalog. The bed was one of those perfect firmness situations where you actually wake up feeling rested instead of like you wrestled with the mattress all night.

What really gets me about Underhill is how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between being unpretentious and still feeling special. The common areas have this relaxed energy where you might find yourself actually chatting with other guests – something that rarely happens at bigger places where everyone’s rushing around with their rolling luggage. I spent a good hour one evening just reading in their lobby area because the lighting was perfect and there was this subtle background music that didn’t make me want to escape to my room immediately. The whole property feels like it operates at a more human pace, if that makes sense. Even housekeeping seems less intrusive – they somehow managed to refresh my room without making it feel like strangers had rearranged all my stuff.

The 9.3 rating honestly doesn’t surprise me at all because this is one of those places where the small things add up to something really solid. I’d definitely stay here again, and I’m pretty picky about where I put my head down when I travel.

  Extremt prisvärt! Lägenhet på 53m2 med allt du behöver. Extremt bra luftkonditionering, rent och välstädat. Smidig in- och utcheckning. Värden svarar nästan direkt när man skriver via booking. När du anländer får du en extremt bra och tydligt genomgång av lägenheten från en av värdarna. Vi fick även utan att fråga tips på vad som finns i närheten (matbutiker, läkemedelsbutiker, resturanger, barer etc). Bra läge om du ska övernatta i närheten av Seoul utan intresse av att turista i centrala Seoul, eller om du bara vill bo i Incheon.
