Crown Park Hotel Seoul Myeongdong
Your Seoul Retreat
You know what really surprised me about the Crown Park Hotel Seoul Myeongdong? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try too hard to impress you with fancy lobbies or over-the-top amenities, but somehow gets everything right where it actually matters. I mean, when you’re staying in the heart of Seoul‘s busiest shopping district, you’re probably going to be out exploring most of the time anyway – so what you really need is a solid base that doesn’t break the bank.
The location is honestly perfect if you’re the type who likes to be in the thick of things. You’re literally steps away from Myeongdong’s main pedestrian street, which gets absolutely crazy busy during the day but has this almost magical quiet period early in the morning when you can actually walk without dodging street food vendors and shopping bags. The hotel sits on one of those slightly quieter side streets, so you get all the convenience without the constant noise – though I’ll be honest, if you’re a super light sleeper, bring earplugs because Seoul never really sleeps. What I loved most was being able to grab those famous Myeongdong dumplings for breakfast (there’s this tiny place about two minutes’ walk that locals line up at around 9 AM) and then hop on the subway at Myeongdong Station, which is practically next door.
The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from a solid 3-star – clean, functional, with that slightly compact Seoul hotel feel that you get used to pretty quickly. The beds are actually comfortable, and the bathrooms are spotless, which honestly matters more than having a giant marble bathtub when you’re spending your days walking around the city. The staff really impressed me though – their English is good, and they seem to genuinely care about helping you figure out the neighborhood. One of the front desk guys drew me this little map showing which streets to take to avoid the worst crowds when heading to Namdaemun Market, and he was absolutely right. Check-in was smooth, no weird hidden fees or surprises, and they let me store my luggage after checkout so I could squeeze in one last shopping run. For the price point and that 8.3 rating, it makes total sense – you’re paying for location and reliability, not luxury, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need in a city like Seoul where the real action is happening outside your hotel room anyway.

Guest Reviews
It’s within walking distance to subway and easy to grab a taxi. The hotel staff are helpful too. The room is clean and tidy and the toilet wow -super like. My son and I had good sleep and the bed is comfortable. Breakfast is included in the booking which is really great and the food was really good. The reception was decorated with Christmas decorations. They have safety features for fire evacuation.
Location which is very near to Myeongdong shopping and walking distance to train stations.
