The Riverside Hotel Overview
You know what, The Riverside Hotel is one of those places that surprises you in ways you don’t expect. I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to it, I wasn’t blown away by the exterior. It’s got that straightforward, no-nonsense look of a solid 3-star property, but honestly? Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
The thing that really got me was stepping inside and realizing how much effort they’ve put into the details that actually matter. The lobby has this warm, lived-in feeling – not like they’re trying too hard to impress you, but more like someone’s comfortable home that happens to welcome guests. The staff behind the front desk actually seemed to know what they were talking about when I asked about local spots, which is rarer than you’d think these days. I mean, sure, the rating sits at 5.7, and I get why – this isn’t going to be anyone’s luxury getaway. But here’s what I noticed: my room was genuinely clean (I’m talking about checking behind the curtains and under the bed clean), the water pressure in the shower was fantastic, and the bed was way more comfortable than I expected. Sometimes you stay at places that look great in photos but then you’re lying awake on a mattress that feels like it’s made of cardboard – not the case here.
What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. You know how some hotels feel like you’re sleeping next to a highway even when you’re not? The Riverside actually lives up to its name in that sense – there’s something about being near the water that just makes everything feel more peaceful. I found myself opening the window just to catch that subtle sound of water moving, especially in the early morning hours. The neighborhood itself has character too – it’s not touristy in that overwhelming way, but there’s enough going on that you can grab coffee or a decent meal without having to trek across town. I actually discovered this little bakery just a few blocks away that locals clearly frequent, the kind of place where they know your order after two visits. Look, I’m not going to pretend this is some hidden gem that’ll change your life, but it does what it promises without any drama or disappointments. If you’re looking for a place where you can actually relax, get a good night’s sleep, and feel like you’re staying somewhere with a bit of soul rather than some cookie-cutter chain, The Riverside delivers on that front. Plus, honestly, in today’s world where hotel prices seem to climb higher every month, finding a spot that gives you genuine value without cutting corners on the basics – that’s worth something.

I like its seat because I used the metro and its seat isn't so far with the metro. Moreover, the front staffs could use English language to connect. I think it is better.
However, I didn't know the culture of Korea. Did they like to hold weddings in August? I met about 10 or 9 weddings during this weekend. It is interesting for me.Sergey from South Korea (7/10)
Location was good at Sinsa dong.
The MEDI SPA was relaxing.
