Sweet House #2
Your Seoul Retreat
First Impressions
Walking up to Sweet House #2 in Seoul, you might wonder if you’ve got the right address — it’s tucked into a residential area in Mapo-gu that feels refreshingly authentic. This three-star guesthouse doesn’t try to be something it’s not, and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work. The building itself is modest, but there’s something immediately welcoming about the entrance that puts you at ease after navigating Seoul’s bustling streets.
The Mapo-gu Advantage
Here’s what I love about this location — you’re actually living like a local for a few days. Mapo-gu isn’t the flashiest district, but it’s got this genuine Seoul vibe that tourist-heavy areas sometimes lack. You’ll find small cafes where the ajumma remembers your coffee order by day two, and late-night convenience stores that become your best friend. The subway connections are solid too, which means you can easily hop over to Hongdae for nightlife or catch a train to Myeongdong without the hassle of staying right in the chaos.
Your Space
The room setup is pretty straightforward — clean, functional, and surprisingly quiet given you’re in the middle of a major city. I mean, Seoul can be loud, but somehow this place manages to buffer most of the street noise. The beds are comfortable enough (Korean beds tend to be firmer than what Westerners expect, but you adjust), and there’s decent storage space for your stuff. What really struck me was how thoughtfully organized everything felt — like someone actually considered how travelers use a space. The furnishings are well-maintained and practical.
Daily Rhythms
Mornings here have this nice, unhurried quality. You know what I really appreciated? The staff gives you space to do your own thing while still being helpful when you need directions or recommendations. They’re not hovering, but they’re genuinely friendly — there’s a difference. The common areas stay clean throughout the day, and the whole place has this calm energy that makes it easy to recharge between Seoul adventures. Plus, the neighborhood comes alive at different times of day, so you get to see how locals actually live and work.
Why Guests Love It
The couples who stay here seem to get it — this isn’t about fancy amenities or Instagram-worthy lobbies. It’s about having a comfortable, well-located base that doesn’t break the bank while you explore one of Asia’s most dynamic cities. The high ratings make sense when you consider what actually matters: cleanliness, location, and that intangible feeling of being welcomed rather than just processed. Sweet House #2 delivers on the basics really well, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need in a city that can overwhelm you with options. Guests consistently praise the value and authentic experience.

Guest Reviews
Location is very good, very near to seoul subway. The host Jason was very helpful. There's a nice sakura street near the apartment recommended by Jason. I'll come back to stay here again if I visit Seoul.
Location next to subway and restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores. Apartment had everything we needed. Beautiful view.of.the city.
Full equipped with wash machine and refrigerator, extra blankets etc. :) heating system makes the room temp very comfy.
The city view from windows is fantastic!
The landlord immediately provided the door code when checking in, which was very convenient. The location of the hotel is very convenient.
The property is situated right near a subway station. A Tous les Jours and a very convenient mini convenience store is downstairs. I felt safe with the security guard attending the lobby.
Jason (host) was super nice and always checking-in on me, to make sure I was enjoying my stay and time in Korea. The apartment is located right at 공덕역 (metro station) which is a great spot to start exploring 서울 😊
Great location for subway Station and supermarket nearby
It really felt like I was living like a local indeed, the location is amazingly practical and I so appreciated having my own space, I spent 12 comfortable nights, the apt is very practical and I would love to thank Jason for his kindness and availability :)
it’s 100% matching the photos. amazing location with easy access to all public transportation to anywhere in Seoul. very cozy place with great view to the city. The A/C works perfectly and hot water in the shower has great pressure. it is a very good choice for solo travelers or young couples who don’t want to stay in hotels for long period of time
