StayMoire Entire Hanok – Central of Seoul Overview
You know what really caught me off guard about StayMoire Entire Hanok – Central of Seoul? I honestly wasn’t expecting to find such an authentic hanok experience right in the heart of the city. I mean, most of these traditional Korean houses have been converted into tourist traps or they’re tucked away in Bukchon where you’re fighting crowds just to take a photo. But this place – it’s different.
Walking into the courtyard for the first time, I actually had to double-check I was still in central Seoul. The ondol heating system works exactly like it should (your feet stay wonderfully warm even when it’s freezing outside), and the hanji paper windows filter the morning light in this soft, dreamy way that makes you want to linger over your coffee. The wooden floors have that perfect slight give under your feet that tells you this isn’t some modern replica – though honestly, everything’s been maintained so well you’d never guess how old these structures actually are. What I love is that they’ve managed to add modern conveniences without ruining the authenticity – the bathroom’s heated, there’s proper wifi, and you’re not roughing it just for the cultural experience.
The location is probably the real winner here, though. You’re walking distance from Myeongdong if you want to shop till you drop, but you can also easily hop on the subway to anywhere else in the city. I spent one evening just wandering the nearby alleys (they’re surprisingly quiet once you get off the main roads) and stumbled across this tiny pojangmacha serving the best tteokbokki I had in Seoul – the kind of discovery that only happens when you’re staying somewhere that actually feels like a neighborhood rather than a hotel district. The whole setup gives you privacy too, since you’re renting the entire hanok rather than sharing with other guests. I could come and go whenever I wanted, make tea in the traditional kitchen at 2am, or sit in the courtyard without worrying about bothering anyone. Actually, that courtyard became my favorite spot – there’s something about being surrounded by traditional architecture while the sounds of modern Seoul hum quietly in the background. It’s like having your own little time capsule. The only thing I’d mention is that if you’re traveling with heavy luggage, the traditional raised thresholds between rooms take a bit of getting used to, but honestly, that’s part of the charm. This isn’t your standard hotel experience – it’s better.
Early hotels booking in Seoul requires advance planning during peak tourist seasons when visitors flock to enjoy the city’s legendary palaces, shopping districts, and Korean cultural attractions.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Stay Moire with my friends. It was my first time experiencing Hanok stay, Korea's traditional housing, and it was an excellent choice and a unique experience. Everything was spotless and well-maintained. What's more, the facilities and amenities were top-notch! My friends can be pretty particular about accommodations, but they were thoroughly satisfied with our stay. Among the many highlights, we especially loved the comfortable bedding. If you're seeking a cozy, immaculate, yet elegantly modernized Hanok stay that offers an authentic experience, I wholeheartedly recommend Stay Moire. You won't be disappointed!

We chose this place for three family stay and I was so happy with it. Because of the late December weather we thought it might be cold and feel sterile but the hanok was so cozy and very warm. Every detail is thoughtfully designed for relaxing and spending time together, and the linens and beds are all very comfortable. It is great for families and with three separate living areas with their own bathrooms, it makes it easy for everyone to have their own space. The Hanock, while traditional in so many aspects, has been lovingly updated with contemporary fixtures and furniture and it is very comfortable. Might be one of my favorite traditional han-ok ever! It looks exactly like the photos and the space felt well designed and spacious for our set of 6 adults and a baby. There are two baby spoon, baby bowls. And it’s conveniently located around 5 mins walk away from the subway station and was close to the Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung and Bokchon village. The host was also extremely helpful and friendly which made our stay all the better! I cannot wait to return, i would stay in this property again in a second.
