Stay on – Foreigners only
Your Seoul Retreat
You know what? I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name Stay on – Foreigners only, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The whole “foreigners only” thing seemed a bit unusual, but after staying there, I actually get it. This place is specifically designed for international travelers, and honestly, that focus really shows in all the little details they’ve thought through.
The moment you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that the staff genuinely understands what it’s like to be far from home. I mean, the front desk had about six different languages being spoken at once when I checked in, and somehow everyone was getting exactly what they needed without any confusion. The concierge – this incredibly patient woman who seemed to know every possible thing a traveler might need – actually helped me figure out local SIM card options and explained the public transport system in a way that finally made sense. She even drew little diagrams on hotel stationary, which sounds silly but was exactly what I needed.
What really struck me about this 4-star spot is how they’ve managed to create this international community feel without it being cheesy or forced. The breakfast setup is brilliant – they’ve got this rotating selection that changes based on who’s staying there, so you might get proper German bread one day and Asian rice dishes the next. I found myself chatting with other guests way more than I usually do, probably because everyone’s in that same “figuring things out in a new place” mindset. The common areas stay busy until pretty late, but the soundproofing is surprisingly good – I never heard hallway conversations from my room. Actually, the whole place runs quieter than you’d expect given how social the atmosphere is during the day. The rooms themselves are smartly designed with tons of outlets (they know we’re all carrying multiple devices), good lighting for those late-night planning sessions, and – this might sound minor but it’s huge – really effective blackout curtains for when you’re dealing with jet lag. I appreciated that they stock the bathrooms with decent toiletries too, because let’s face it, when you’re traveling internationally, you don’t always want to hunt down specific products in unfamiliar stores.
The rating of 9 makes complete sense to me. This isn’t trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it absolutely nails what it’s going for. If you’re looking for that polished, formal hotel experience, this might not be your speed. But if you want a place that feels like it was designed by people who actually travel frequently and know what matters when you’re navigating a new country – decent WiFi, helpful staff who speak multiple languages, and that subtle sense of community with fellow travelers – then this place really delivers on that promise.

Guest Reviews
The apartment has good transport connections and is at walkable distance from some of noteworthy sites in the city. Small, but practically arranged to accomodate up to 4 guests, so we were rather comfortable being a company of 3. Well packed with equipment, utensils. Even has hygiene basics like shampoo and bath gel. Was in perfect readiness for our stay.
