Stay Dear
Your Seoul Retreat
You know what caught me off guard about Stay Dear? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be anything fancy, and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work. I mean, sure, it’s a 3-star spot, but there’s something refreshingly straightforward about the whole experience that I actually found pretty appealing. The lobby has this clean, minimalist vibe – not sterile, just uncluttered – and the staff seemed genuinely happy to help rather than going through the motions.
The rooms are well, they’re exactly what you’d expect but done right. Nothing groundbreaking, but the beds are comfortable (I’m picky about this stuff), the Wi-Fi actually works without constantly dropping out, and the bathrooms are spotless. What I really appreciated was the attention to little details – like having enough outlets near the bed and blackout curtains that actually block out light. The air conditioning runs quietly too, which is huge for me since I’m a light sleeper. I stayed during what seemed like a busy period, and while I could occasionally hear people in the hallway, it wasn’t disruptive.
Here’s the thing about Stay Dear that really won me over – it feels like they understand what travelers actually need versus what hotels think we want. The check-in process was smooth and quick, no unnecessary upselling or lengthy explanations of amenities I’d never use. There’s a decent breakfast spread (nothing gourmet, but solid coffee and fresh options), and they keep it stocked even when it gets busy. The location worked well for me, though you’ll want to check if it aligns with where you need to be – I found it easy enough to get around from there. Parking was straightforward, which honestly can make or break a stay sometimes. The whole place just has this efficient, no-nonsense approach that I found refreshing after staying at places that try too hard to impress. Would I stay again? Yeah, definitely – especially if I wanted a reliable, comfortable base without paying for extras I don’t need.
