Stay Cloudscape
Your Seoul Retreat
First Impressions
Walking into Stay Cloudscape, you immediately get that “hidden gem” feeling — it’s tucked away on Samcheong-ro in Seoul‘s historic Jongno district, and honestly, the location alone makes this three-star place punch way above its weight. The lobby isn’t flashy, but there’s something refreshingly understated about it that tells you the owners actually care about creating a genuine experience rather than just checking boxes.
The Samcheong-dong Advantage
You know what’s brilliant about staying here? You’re literally in one of Seoul’s most charming neighborhoods, where traditional hanoks sit next to quirky galleries and some of the city’s best independent cafes. I mean, you can walk to Bukchon Hanok Village in about ten minutes, and Gyeongbokgung Palace is right there too. But here’s the thing couples seem to love most (and trust me, they rate the location 9.2 for good reason) — Samcheong-dong has this romantic, almost European vibe in the evenings when the street lights come on and the little art shops stay open late.
The Room Experience
The room itself is clean and modern without being sterile — think minimalist Korean design with just enough personality to feel welcoming. What really surprised me was how quiet it stays despite being in such a central area. The windows are well-insulated, and you actually get a decent night’s sleep, which isn’t always guaranteed in Seoul’s busier districts. The beds are comfortable enough, and there’s sufficient storage space for a week-long stay.
Soaking Away the Day
Here’s where Stay Cloudscape really sets itself apart from other budget-friendly options — they’ve got hot spring baths and an open-air bath that honestly feels like a small miracle after a day of walking around Seoul’s hills. The hot tub area isn’t huge, but it’s well-maintained and never seems overcrowded. There’s something almost therapeutic about soaking in warm water while looking up at the Seoul sky, especially if you time it right around sunset. It’s not a full spa experience, but for a three-star place, it’s pretty impressive.
Why Guests Love It
Look, Stay Cloudscape isn’t trying to be something it’s not — it’s a solid, well-located place that delivers on the basics while throwing in a few genuine surprises. The staff seems to actually know the neighborhood and can point you toward the good stuff (like which alley has the best hotteok vendor). Recent guests keep rating it highly because it strikes that sweet spot between affordability and location that’s getting harder to find in Seoul. Plus, there’s something to be said for a place where you can soak your tired feet after temple-hopping, then step out your door and be in the heart of one of the city’s most photogenic districts within minutes.

Guest Reviews
Really nice restaurants near by and really near the most cute neighborhood of Seoul. Also the views from the aspartment where really nice to the palace . The apartment was really cozy and had warm floor which helped with the cold night temperatures
Love the interiors, neighbourhood and the views. The outdoor bath was fantastic.
It's awesome. Nice place, clean, warm, good view.
Lots of facility.
Recommend for everyone.
Location in Bukchon area
Great location, lovely quarters
Bed very comfortable.
Style was traditional and lovely atmosphere.
Fun to have the rooftop bath (more like a basin though) but a shame that people from street could see you from above.
The views were stunning .
Authentic Korean traditional-styled interior,
Comfy bed and pillow, and the view. Balkon was the best of this offer
The interior is beautiful and comfortable. It was very clean and well heated. The living room was a bit bigger than I expected (but its not big). The view is stunning and the area is beautiful. The team answered my questions fast so this was nice!
Decor
