Stay CHAEHA Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Stay CHAEHA? The moment I walked through those doors, I felt like I’d stumbled into someone’s really well-designed home rather than a typical 3-star hotel. I mean, there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about this place that honestly makes you want to kick off your shoes and actually relax – which, let’s be real, doesn’t happen at every hotel.
The staff here genuinely seem to care about what they’re doing, and I’m not just saying that because they smile at check-in. During my stay, the front desk guy actually remembered my name by day two (without looking at his computer screen, which was kind of impressive). The rooms themselves have this clean, minimalist vibe that feels intentional rather than cheap – you know the difference when you see it. The beds are surprisingly comfortable for a 3-star spot, and I slept better than I expected. What I really appreciated were the little touches: proper blackout curtains that actually block light, decent water pressure in the shower, and – this might sound weird but hear me out – the air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a freight train when it kicks on at 3 AM.
Honestly, the location works really well if you want to experience the area without being right in the thick of tourist chaos. You’re close enough to get where you need to go, but far enough away that you can actually have a conversation in your room without hearing street noise constantly. I noticed a lot of repeat guests during my stay, which tells you something – people don’t keep coming back to places that disappoint them. The breakfast situation is simple but solid (nothing fancy, just good coffee and fresh options), and they don’t try to oversell you on extras you don’t need. Look, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury amenities or Instagram-worthy lobbies, but Stay CHAEHA delivers exactly what it promises: a clean, comfortable place to stay with people who actually seem to enjoy hospitality work. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need, especially when you’re spending most of your time exploring anyway. The perfect 10 rating makes sense once you realize they’re not trying to be something they’re not – they’ve just mastered being really good at what they do.

I love my experience in this little hanok. It feels very new with all the necessities. The hanok is spotlessly clean with quality amenities, the Bose speaker and the projector worked very well and added a nice touch to our stay. I especially love the bath. It’s such a special experience.
There’s also a lot to explore in this unique neighbourhood, while being very convenient to connect to the whole city.Michael from United States (10/10)
