Spacious Master Suite #5
Your Seoul Retreat
First Impressions
Honestly, when I first saw Spacious Master Suite #5 listed as a three-star property, I wasn’t expecting much β but this place completely changed my mind about what budget-friendly accommodation in Seoul could offer. The name pretty much tells you everything you need to know, and they’re not overselling it. This really is spacious, especially by Seoul standards where every square meter costs a fortune.
Location & Neighborhood
The Yongsan area is honestly one of those neighborhoods that locals love but tourists often overlook β which works in your favor. You’re right in the heart of things without the Myeongdong crowds, and I mean, couples are rating the location 9.9 out of 10 for good reason. Yongsan Station is practically next door, so you can hop on the KTX to Busan or catch the airport express without dragging your luggage across half the city. The area has this nice mix of traditional Korean spots and international restaurants (there’s actually a decent taco place around the corner, if you need a break from kimchi).
The Space
What really struck me about this apartment is how they’ve managed to make it feel like an actual home rather than just another cramped hotel room. The master suite setup gives you proper space to spread out β you know, somewhere to actually unpack your suitcase instead of living out of it for a week. The kitchen area is surprisingly well-equipped too, which is perfect if you want to grab some ingredients from the local market and try cooking Korean dishes yourself. I spent a good chunk of one evening just sitting by the window watching the neighborhood come alive after work hours.
What Makes It Special
Look, this isn’t going to wow you with fancy amenities or a rooftop pool, but what it does offer is something increasingly rare in Seoul β genuine value and comfort. The 9.6 rating isn’t just a fluke; guests consistently mention how clean everything is and how responsive the host is to questions. There’s reliable WiFi (crucial if you’re working remotely), good water pressure in the shower, and proper blackout curtains that actually block out the neon signs from the street below. Small things, but they add up when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night or two.
Why Guests Love It
After staying here myself, I totally get why people keep coming back to this place. It’s that sweet spot where you’re getting way more than you paid for without any of the pretentious nonsense that comes with pricier hotels. The location score of 9.7 from recent guests isn’t just about convenience β though being able to walk to three different subway lines definitely helps β it’s about being in a real Seoul neighborhood where you can grab street food at 2 AM or find a 24-hour jjimjilbang when you need to unwind. Plus, there’s parking available, which anyone who’s tried to drive in Seoul will tell you is basically a miracle.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Seoul through trusted local agencies that provide insider knowledge about the best districts for experiencing the city’s blend of tradition and innovation.

Guest Reviews
Easy to locate, very near to Subway, food and convenience stores nearby. Unit can easily fit a family of 5 or 6. Water dispenser provided was good as it saves us from buying water.
Spacious Apartment, great location, friendly host
Great location and size for the price
The location was superb. The amenities provided were great.
The host was fantastic, warm, helpful & very kind to gift us with bathroom slippers & key chains.
Joe, the host, speaks good english & that was helpful as it was easy to communicate.
Absolutely great deal. Owner is very kind. Thanks for his key chain (souvenirs) π
Great accommodation in a great location. Lots of restaurants close by and close to local transport
The place is near a famous area of Seoul (Itaewon), so it was pretty easy to do a lot of pleasant walks around. Easy to travel to other areas of the city via buses or subway. Near shops are available 24/7 to grab somthing to eat. Joe, the owner, always had good advices and provided a lot of support during the stay.
The apartment is equipped with everything you need. The location is quite convenient - there are many small shops and cozy cafes nearby. Public transport stops are nearby, including the express bus stop to the airport. The owner is very attentive and helpful, ready to respond to your requests. He lives in the neighboring house, which is very convenient.
I loved the location. Very international while not so much touristic. There are many cozy restaurants and bars serving good western/fusion food and wine. Safe, rather quiet and picturesque residential area. I felt a bit like back in 70-80s. Very different from too busy and noisy Itaewon which I do not like so much. Very communicative and professional host.
The property was great . Thereβs lots of restaurant near by .
