About this stay

Your Seoul Retreat

You know what caught me off guard about Sodam Stay, late check in-out? It’s actually exactly what the name promises – and honestly, that’s rarer than you’d think in the hotel world. I mean, when a place puts “late check in-out” right there in the name, you’d hope they’d follow through, and they absolutely do.

I’ll be straight with you – this isn’t some flashy boutique spot trying to impress you with marble lobbies or whatever. It’s a solid 3-star place that just… gets it. The whole vibe is refreshingly low-key, which I actually loved after dealing with overly eager front desk staff at other places. They hand you the key, explain the WiFi situation (which works great, by the way), and let you get on with your life. The late check-out thing isn’t just marketing speak either – I rolled out around 1 PM without any drama or extra charges, which was honestly a godsend after a long night out.

The rooms have that clean, unfussy feel that makes you relax immediately. Nothing’s trying too hard to be Instagram-worthy, but everything works properly – the shower has decent pressure, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a freight train, and the bed is actually comfortable (not too soft, not like sleeping on concrete). I particularly appreciated the blackout curtains because, let’s face it, when you’re taking advantage of late check-out, you probably want to sleep in without the sun judging your life choices. The soundproofing is pretty decent too, though you’ll catch some street noise if you’re a really light sleeper – nothing deal-breaking, just typical urban hotel stuff. What really won me over was how they handle the practical things that other places somehow mess up. The check-in process works smoothly even if you’re rolling in at weird hours (I got there around 11 PM and it was seamless), and they’re not precious about luggage storage if you need to leave bags after checkout. Plus, the staff seems genuinely unbothered by guests keeping unconventional schedules – there’s no side-eye if you’re coming back at 2 AM or ordering room service at odd hours.

Look, if you’re hunting for Instagram moments or trying to impress someone with where you’re staying, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want a place that delivers on its promises without any fuss – especially if you’re someone who hates being rushed out the door in the morning – Sodam Stay really nails it. It’s the kind of place that makes you think “why can’t all hotels be this straightforward?” The rates are fair for what you get, and honestly, that flexible timing alone makes it worth considering. Sometimes the best travel experiences come from places that just let you do your thing without any drama, you know?

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Seoul at least two months ahead for major events like K-pop concerts and cultural festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near popular attractions.
