Seven Hostel
Your Seoul Retreat
You know what? When I first walked into Seven Hostel, I wasn’t expecting much – I mean, it’s got that straightforward name that doesn’t give away any secrets. But honestly, this place surprised me in the best way possible. The lobby has this relaxed, almost lived-in vibe that immediately puts you at ease, and the staff actually seem like they want to be there (which, let’s be real, isn’t always the case with budget accommodations).
The rooms are what I’d call “smart simple” – nothing fancy, but everything works exactly like it should. The beds are actually comfortable (I’m picky about this stuff), and there’s enough space to spread out your gear without feeling like you’re playing Tetris with your luggage. What really won me over though was how quiet it gets at night. I’ve stayed in plenty of hostels where you’re basically sleeping inside a drum, but this place has solid walls and people generally respect the vibe. The bathrooms are kept clean throughout the day, which honestly can make or break a hostel experience – and trust me, these pass the test.
Here’s the thing that really sets Seven Hostel apart: it feels like the kind of place where solo travelers end up having those random conversations that turn into exploring the city together. There’s this common area where people naturally gravitate in the evenings, and I noticed the same mix of backpackers, digital nomads, and people just passing through that you want in a good hostel. The Wi-Fi actually works well enough for video calls (tested this multiple times), and there are plenty of outlets near the beds – small details that matter when you’re living out of a backpack. Check-in was smooth, no weird hidden fees or surprise charges, and they’re flexible about luggage storage if you arrive early. With a 7.9 rating, it sits in that sweet spot where you’re getting solid value without any major headaches, and honestly, that’s exactly what you want when you’re trying to stretch your travel budget without sacrificing your sanity.

Guest Reviews
The atmosphere was really good, theres a kitchen, so I could also cook
The location is perfect, 5 min from Yonsei University and Sinchon Station, no brand supermarket and e-mart
The night life in sinchon is also nice, there's a lot of pubs and izakayas where many students go :)
I was in a single room. It has everything you need if you just need a place to crush and take a shower.
Very close to the airport bus bus stop and a metro station.
Nice place to stay and really good location. The rooms are spacious and good. You can come 24/7 the door is always open.
I stayed two nights. Everything as expected!
Really nice hostel, the location is really good (walking distance to 홍대, 이대). The room was bigger than I expected, nice bed, the staff was polite and helpful. Kitchen in the basement (haven't used much), free water, good wi-fi. No complaints.
Beds were hard but comfy. Good location, next to Sinchon and Hongdae. Easy access from/to airport. Relatively big bathroom for this price. Friendly, young staff
Good location, not far from bus and metro stops. Plenty of nice food options nearby. Our private room was a nice size. Did not really interact with any of the staff. The coffee sachets for a morning drink are nice.
Friendly staff, fairly good location with three-minute walk to bus stops or subway.
I booked last minute so there was some confusion but the staff got it solved out as soon as possible. The room seemed clean to me:)
Location is so good, just took around 3 mins to sincheon metro station.
Price is quite good and bed is comfortable
